The following is aimed at GPP play and is my own personal thoughts...I'm willing to accept the possibility that I am wrong.

I think stacking the goalie with the skaters is underused. Think about it, in order to win the GPP, your skaters need to go off. If your skaters go off, your goalie is probably going to win. Similarly, if your goalie throws up a shutout, your skaters will not be taking any minuses on the plus/minus.

There are exceptions (I seem to remember a Blues goalie getting pulled and taking a negative score only for the team to come roaring back), however, they are rare.

Frequently you will see goalie A is a slightly bigger favorite than goalie B and goalie A is also a bit cheaper. Yet goalie A will be MASSIVELY owned compared to goalie B.

If you really like the skaters in a game that is projected to be a toss-up, definitely consider the goalie. Remember, somebody is going to win this game! You already have the skaters on that team and you will probably need a couple of goals from them to win a large GPP. So go ahead and bank those three extra points when things go your way. That's the beauty of GPP play, we only care about maxing our score when things go our way. We don't care about squeaking out a head to head victory because we made a fractionally better choice at goalie.
