Nick Ahmed likely to win starting SS for Ari
If so, that means Owings to 3B, and could be a 3B/SS guy for this year with nice late round value

I took JZimm next, and had a tough time deciding between him and Hamels. In the end I decided against Hamels just because its likely he is traded and would suck for him to land in the AL East.
I really really wanted Marte there, but felt like I HAD to grab the last of the highend SP2's.

I also had a tough time deciding between Fielder and Hosmer and was pretty irritated that after I took Fielder, Hosmer slip another7 full rounds. wtf.
Santana over grienke was fine, I personally would have taken Hamels for his K's but that's just personal preference. On another look if Harvey comes back strong there's like a 99% chance you're going to win this league.

Does anyone like Chris Davis as a value pick this year? I feel like .240/35/95 is ambitious but not impossible. The 1B/3B eligibility is appealing too
Seems like people are staying away from him

I think he has plenty of value but people tend to shy away from really low avg guys. But in this day era, anyone who hits 30 hr is definitely valuable. Same with Chris carter. Both guys probably a little underrated.

ok kids, what are we trying to trade Bryant for at this point? Give me an equal value 1 for 1 with an SP and a hitter.

Sort by top 50 ADP as a starting point. Maybe instead of a fair 1for1 look for 2 lessor players, like say Grienke and Lucroy or Alex Wood and Longo (:

you mean you don't expect Bryant to come out and knock 50 home runs?

I'd be selling high too.

Off the top of my head, I'd try for Cory Dickerson. Some people aren't believers in him.

For pitchers it's tougher. Maybe Kluber for the same reasons as above

I'd shoot for the moon with Bryant and offer him for nothing less than a player taken mid 3rd

Honestly I don't see the point in trading Bryant unless you're getting far more than he's worth. Nobody who knows what they're doing is going to overpay for him and those who don't are the same reason polanco (who didn't have anything close to the pedigree or hype) went for heaps last year before everyone found out prospects usually suck right out of the gate

I would tend to just hold on to Bryant too.
In a redraft its not like you burned a super early pick on him, and everyone in the league knows that, so theres no way the other owners are going to throw you their 3rd or 4th round player. If they were willing to do that, they have just drafted Bryant themselves.

In a keeper league you can probably get whatever you want for him. Thats where you can really cash in to go for it this year.

This is a keeper league but you can't keep players in rounds 1-3 so the early draft is basically standard.

I have my choice between draft picks 6 through 9 and 11. Which draft pick should I take?

It's kind of urgent. Thanks guys!!

Pretty balanced offense. Don't really like b ham in this format at all but he will win you steals with cutch and rendon.

Sale is a stud love him to anchor and you've got some upside guys that could help out the rotation.

Hmmm so what you're saying is in my h2h 12 team h2h league im sitting in a very optimal spot drafting 7 considering kershaw will go top 5?

I'd say 6 is better with Miggy's slight health questions at 7, but yeah, it's a good spot imo.

Just out of curiosity, for those who have mocked a few times from the 6/7 slot, I've found that I liked my teams better when I took Giancarlo as an OF over Abreu or Goldschmidt or Kershaw. I liked having that OF anchoring my team and filling in 1B later as opposed to taking 1B early and ending up with lesser OFs. I knew I was drafting 6th in my redraft league so I got the opportunity to mock from my slot a few times before the draft.

My actual draft ended up like this in my 12t h2h league:

C Ramos
1B Edwin
2B Dozier
3B Frazier
SS Alcides
IF Brandon Moss
OF Giancarlo
OF Brantley
OF Calhoun
OF Leonys Martin
Util Morneau
BN Souza, Arismendy Alcantara

SP Zimmermann, Teheran, McHugh, Wacha, Garrett Richards, Paxton
RP Mejia, Cody Allen, Cishek, Andrew Miller, Nathan

I chose Brantley over Sale/Price/Beltre in round 3 because I didn't think the 2nd tier of OFs were gonna make it back to me (Springer, Dickerson, Carlos Gonzalez), and I was fine with my first SP being from the Greinke/Kluber/Cueto/Zimm/Lester tier.

Anybody have any other thoughts on my roster?
