Which side you want?
Hanley and Johnson side ainec unless somehow the team getting Jeter's side has zero outfielders and absolutely needs Guillen and Magglio, at which point it still makes no sense because its a ten team league, how can he have no outfielders, and given that its ten teams I'm sure there are comparables (if not better) to these goes available on the wire...Seems like giving up one of the top hitters and top pitchers for a solid hitter and 3 waiver-wire players...

FWIW ZIPs had the follwing projections for the rest of the year for Ubaldo and Cliff Lee.

Ubaldo- 13 Wins 144 Ks 3.93 ERA 1.36 WHIP

Lee- 11 Wins 128 Ks 3.40 ERA 1.19 WHIP

So its actually pretty close, but Id still rather have Lee. Maybe Trading Ubaldo for Lee straight up might not be the best strat though because you might be able to get another player and Lee for Ubaldo.

those are pretty significant increases in whip/era for a guy giving you 150ip.

also, hanley/johnson crushes - obv.

FWIW, I input their projections (FG and CHONE) into our scoring system, and Lee came out on top by ~25 points (~1.6 starts worth) in both.

Austin Jackson is running so unbelievably hot right now it's almost illogical. When he comes back down, he'll be a very very mediocre outfielder.

Alrighty then good, I got C.C. in the deal. I was completley set at OF but I gambled and messed around with my team a bit figuring I could pitch them while they were running hot. Jackson has just kept producing so I was happy to move him so quickly and get this much value back from him.

That's one of the more lopsided trades I can remember honestly. Does your league have a veto process? I would be scared, lol.

He also leads the league in strikeouts, and has no power.

He's gonna be Mark Reynolds without the HR's/RBI/s.

what are general thoughts on the value of Chris Carpenter right now?

for 2004, 2005, and 2006 he was a truly elite SP, one of the top 3 - 4 in fantasy.

then came the 2 injured years

then 2009 he was very solid, top 10 or 15 guy.

this year he has been great. his ratios have changed - he is both striking out and walking more guys.. but half the guys in my league won't touch him b/c he is an injury risk

is he really more of an injury risk than other SP?

I think you said it yourself: for several years he was truly elite. Then came the injury, and now he's back to what looks to be elite form. He's a top 10 SP easily imo.

He's an injury risk yeah, but he's not a Rich Harden type injury risk.

I just gave up Grady Sizemore, Heyward and Kazmir for Sandoval.

My other OF are Braun, Dunn, Bruce and Ibanez.

Good trade?

Ehhh, I'm not a big fan of it, although I'm optimistically hoping Sizemore gets going. If Sizemore doesn't, then it's alright I think.

thats a ton to give up. depending on league settings, Heyward and Pablo are close. or at least to this point they have been almost equal. where you project Heyward going forward is tricky though.

so you are kind of giving him Sizemore and Kazmir for free

I'm in a 10 team H2H 6x5 (R, HR, RBI, SB, TB, OBP) and was offered Ellsbury and Dunn for Prince Fielder.

My lineup is
C Soto
1B Miguel Cabrera
2B Pedroia
3B Mark Reynolds
SS Jeter
OF Choo
OF Abreu
OF Carlos Lee
Util Fielder
B Carlos Gonzalez
B Chone Figgins
B Julio Borbon

When Ellsbury comes back, he'd bump a platoon of Carlos Gonzalez and Carlos Lee from the starting lineup, and I would drop Julio Borbon who I plan on dropping after this week anyways. Usually I hate being on this side of a 2 for 1, but should I accept it?

Not really, it's pretty much if its not collusion it goes haha. The commisioner had just absolutley trade raped the same guy getting Mccann and Vasquez for Doumit and Pelfrey so I felt obliged to try to get some type of deal done with the same guy lol. I like his deal better obviously but I still thought I should feel pretty giddy about mine at the time... it's my first season playing fantasy baseball and I know the least about baseball hockey so while I udnerstand who is probably running out of their minds, I don't know the game well enough to project values accuratley for people who are obviously going to cool down. I definitley thought this would be a pretty big win for me though, just want to make sure. I guess it sounds pretty dumb that I asked given what the consensus on Jackson is.

Andrus/Beckett depending on team needs of course.

Bartlett's stats last year crys out fluke and I doubt he'll get anywhere close to those numbers. Wieters, while talented, still hasn't put it together in the Majors yet.

Beckett's off to a rough start but he had the exact same rought start last April and then proceeded to go on a tear.
