Uhoh CMart could be in trouble:

The St. Louis Cardinals are conducting an investigation to determine whether a lawsuit against starter Carlos Martinez could warrant a response in relation to MLB's domestic violence policy.
The news comes after St. Louis gave Martinez permission to step away from the team Friday to deal with a personal issue in Florida.
"We are just learning of this matter. I was notified by Carlos' agent the other night," Cardinals general manager John Mozeliak.

According to the lawsuit, a woman involved with Martinez in an on-again, off-again relationship since 2012 is suing the pitcher for battery, negligent transmission of sexually transmitted diseases, and fraud. She reportedly seeks damages in excess of $1.5 million.
Martinez's lawyer has already denounced the allegations

I'd be very surprised if JDM was busted. He was always incredibly powerful, and roids wouldnt solve the reason he was floundering (incapable of not striking out).

Cespedes would be the most believable superstar level player for me

Pence: sell high, buy high (and hold) or hold (and don't buy)?

Im leaning towards hold and don't buy but this is a guy who is continually outperforming his ADP by multiple rounds. If people are still valuing him as a 5th rounder or worse when his true value is 4th or higher doesn't it stand to reason you should be going for it?

(The amount of shares of him I have is irrelevant to the question)

2nd question: grandal or realmuto ROS? All things being equal I think it's grandal but he's also missing 2 out of every 5 for the foreseeable future (1 kershaw day and another rest day)

Pence has never been one of "my guys" because his ceiling is pretty low for where his value lies. That said, you're getting what you know you're getting, so no real need to sell imo.

I took a closer look at him this morning and came away a non-believer. His MiL stats are pretty underwhelming...he OPSed .676 in over 300 AA PAs last year (7 HRs in the full season of AA and AAA). Could eventually become something, but I doubt this is more than a blip.

Im trying to give Jesse hahn a fair shake but I just don't see it. He doesn't have a slider anymore, his strikeout rate has predictably gone down and his other 3 pitches are remarkably underwhelming. Someone tell me why I'm wrong
