Hi, why pokersnowie advise on Turn stab 2x pot? He advise stab 2xpot on cards like 8h too. I understand why, 8h do not hits his range but Qx hits villain's range perfectly, so why overbet? thanks for your advice

Preflop play:
3x folds, Bu opens 2.3bb, Sb folds, Bb calls

Flop:
Bb checks, Bu checks

Turn:
BB 2xpot ???

I don't really like analyzing things like snowie's sizing suggestions.

Well, what do you think about the overbet?

I like the 2X bomb. It prices out all the strong draws that the button might use to protect the buttons check range on the flop. Often the button will check the nut flush draw heads up on the flop, or not I guess you can check the combos that snowie assigns to the button to check.

This leaves the chance that the button improved with the Q on the turn and now has to call sometimes to avoid being exploited by overbets. Should work well against better players, imo.

With your exact hand it's 100% reasonable.

The question you should ask yourself when considering a turn overbet as the OOP player is "what strong hands has IP hit?" In this case, none really. I don't believe Snowie opens Q4s or Q2s at that stake and Q7s would bet the flop almost always. Now consider your range, you carry over all the strong hands you flopped and you've also hit all the Q two pairs. So while IP does hit a variety of top pairs like AQ and KQ they are nothing but bluffcatchers against your super nutted overbet range.

This scenario is about as close as you can get to a pure nuts vs bluffcatcher toy game. Going 15 turn allin river maximizes the about of bluffs you can use and lets you win the pot most often.
