It's time to test your skills against an RPM Poker Pro.

Each week, one player will win the privilege to enter the heads up battle arena to play an RPM Poker Pro heads-up for $500.

Every Wednesday in the month of June, you may register for a free tournament to qualify for the battle. The tournament - a turbo event - will begin at 20:00 server time. Registration is available in the main tournament lobby.

Each winning weekly qualifier will also qualify for a chance to play heads up for $1,000 against an RPM Poker pro at the end of the month. If the weekly qualifier plays and wins their $500 heads up match against an RPM Poker Team Pro, they will battle the other weekly winners in a heads up, 3 handed, or 4 handed SNG. The winner will play the RPM Poker Team Pro for the $1,000 prize.

If there is only 1 qualifier that is able to tackle a team pro, that player will advance to the $1,000 event by default.

If no weekly qualifier is able to topple an RPM Team Pro in the Sunday Heads Up Battle, the $1,000 in cash will be added to the following month's Pro Battle challenge, making it a $2,000 Jackpot to play for.

The wording in turbo-charged thursday is confusing to me. I'm assuming that only ring-game hands count but does not explicitly state that. Any hands or ring-game only? Thx

Btw all promos are ++ for me, micro fish thank you guys.

Is there a cap on how many 300 VIP Points one can earn in a day?

If not, then wow. Even better than double points for micro guys.

all of these 300 point days are of no use to rakeback players right? I've never seen anything to spend points on anywhere in the client.

You can spend them on tourney entries I believe, unless the VIP points are not the same thing I've been buying into tourneys with.

Where are the vip point tournaments listed? I've seriously never seen them.

Any time hands are mentioned in a promotion they are referring to real money cash game hands.

You can buy into select tournaments using points directly through the registration drop-down menu.

Not sure if it's up to date. I'm not a tourny player.

You can buy into most tourney's with points, just go into the lobby and select "register" and it will ask you if you want to pay with cash or points.

There's also a little green question mark in the info popup when you select a tourney from the lobby, next to where it lists the price of the buyin. If you click on that it will tell you whether or not you can use cash, points, coupons, etc.

Just want to state that you repeated the Sunday drivers promotion and did not post the Cruisers promotion. But I saw it on your webpage.

No, there is no cap on the amount of VIP points you can earn!

That is huge.

ditto. Nice to see RPM stepping it up
05-31-2012 , 10:48 PM
Definitely makes up for last month's no dpuble points days and then some.

As a limit player not to much here, it is tough to grind out the 1000 hands as we play 35% of the hands and will rake 800 pts or so .. so double points are 2.5x more .. but maybe a week or two of late .02/.04 action to put in 500 hands once I get to 300 to be much like a double point day. It would be nice to put a 500 pt day against 300 pts not double but close.

Kind of micro grinder promotions but maybe that is the goal. Got bonus to K gear so I'm good for a while. Just things to think about, rakeback came back maybe double points next month. I'll have to see how the rake race works out.

Is the tournament for the Wheelin Wednesday promotion the same tournament for both promotions or separate tournaments for the cruisers and drivers promotions?
06-01-2012 , 01:54 AM
I'm pretty sure I already know the answer but want to check just in case:

Are the 300 VIP point bonuses good for advancement in VIP levels?

In other words, back in the double-points days it was all just points that you could exchange for cash...but they didn't count towards your efforts to make it to 10-gear or J-gear or whatever.

If you are using Merge-Keys then you have to turn off the setting (or turn off Merge Keys) because it can automatically skip past the drop-down part for you...and the default is to buy you in with cash.

I've learned this the hard way a couple of times when trying to use my $109 tourney tickets. If I have Merge Keys on then it automatically buys me in with cash (and you can't unregister if you are late-registering) and I say, "crap, guess I'll have to use the ticket next week."

Alright this is pretty good, I can play NL4 for an hour or so each day that 300 bonus is available and pop 1000 hands. Get 300 points do the 3 times and 900 points for the week and 3600 for the month. Not quite double point days but good enough to earn an extra $100.

You do know there is no cap on the amount of VIP Points you can earn through the M, Tu, F promos, right?

I just finished with a 3K hand session just now, 3.5 hours into June. 900 pts right there, plus whatever regular VIP pts I got.

Played 3,0039 hands of 4nl 6max in 3 hours, 23 minutes, earned 79.59 regular VIP Points and 900 VIP Points from promo.

I’m not a math whiz or anything, but is this not better than double points? For micro players, that is.

Am I ******ed and missing something here?

And I seriously doubt these bonus VIP Points go toward moving up in gears. That would make it too easy/cheap.

I'm shooting for playing at least 10k hands @ 4nl on these days. You know they're going to nerf this next month.
