no but saying mining is the only game in town isn't the only way.

it's fine.. you can enjoy your ****ty life of being away from your fam for months at a time just to earn $$$$ to spend it on **** that doesn't matter

thanks for the vote of confidence man.

also

1) I didn't have any time to react and he felt rushed the whole time.

2) i'm not some ****ing pawn in a game of companies pawling off their recruitment so they can have recruitment agencies justify their jobs

3) it wasn't WHAT he said it was in his tone. Like he was pissed I even skewed of what was required. it didn't feel like a free-flowing conversation. I told him " just a sec" as I put on my glasses and booted up the computer to check the email he said I would be receiving. but then he got ****ty, and asked why I was doing that, I told him to read the email I was receiving. he didn't explain himself well and got ****ty at me then just hung up.

I just opened the old emails he sent me and it says they would call me " the next business day" it didn't give a time, it specifies I need to read all the info and get through it as quickly as possible.

I'm sorry but that's ****ing bull****. I'm not here so YOU can make money off me because company I applied for the job for decided to let you handled it and not in-house.

I've had phone interviews before and they were WAY better and way more natural than this. it wasn't a " conversation" it was me giving answers to some ****ty questions THAT DIDN'T need to be Answered. everything is in my resume AND cover letter. why the **** I have to jump through all these hoops just to work for you.

sure I get it, I shouldn't have this attitude, but I'm a hard worker and I have bent over backwards for companies and tired my best. I always do and I would bend over backwards for them again.

if this is an indication of my unwillingness to work so be it. I'm not here to be screwed around by these people. either you want me to work for you or you don't. it's a ****ing admin job. you don't need an in-depth process review for the ****ing job. Just let me get stuck it and do what it is I got to do.

Luke,

You really don't know how the job market works do you?

The fact you seem unwilling to do a little work to get the job lets them know what sort of person they would be getting if they employed you.

Think about it.

It's not their privilege to get you to work for them. That's not how it works.

I'd love to see you get a job. I think it would help you with your mindset about life. But your attitude about doing a little work to get a job (when you are unemployed and got nothing to do) is really lol.

Luke,

If someone asks you in an interview to repeat what you said because they couldn't understand you don't say "don't worry about it." For someone who's been studying PUA for god knows how long you're terrible at asserting yourself. Say what you mean to them instead of mumbling under your breath then acting like it wasn't important.

dear fidstar poker.

thank you for your kind words...

I hope I get a job too.

I have been through enough job interviews to know that bull**** is way out of line. just because i wasn't quick off the line like he wanted he got very ****ty at me. this shouldn't be the case and even if i DID recover i would turn down the job anyway. I wouldn't want to work for him.

edit:

all in all there process doesn't need to be this long overcomplicated thing. just call me up and ask questions normally. don't be a dick about it if I am wrong or I stumble over my words. I'm NERVOUS and i haven't even had coffee yet ( that's on me doe)

sure, but at this point, he was VERY angry over nothing and to be honest with you, I only "mumbled" that because I felt rushed and I be wasn't ready.

I sure I could have done the interview better. the guy was horrible at what he did and i had just woken up so.

also who the **** tells me " at some point you will have a phone interview tomorrow" then expects you to be dead on point ready at any moment.

with stupid questions in hand. I also felt like i would have to go through 2 MORE interviews just to get the job, at what point do you say " this is ridiculous"

the last 2 interviews just called me up and told me to meet at a certain time. then they asked all the questions and I answered them.

that's like waiting around for the cable guy to show up. could be 9:30 could be 4pm you will never know.

Luke,

I have been to 7 job interviews and been offered 6 jobs. I ****ed up my first interview, but 6 from 6 after that.

There are people in here that have successful careers that involved having a successful job interview/application process.

While a lot of the time we are being smart asses, in this case we are trying to help you.

The job interview (funny enough) is determining if you are going to be a good fit for their business. They are employing you. You will be important to whether their business is successful and how much money they will earn. So, don't be an ass when you need to do something a little bit more. It's superstandard. They are checking to see what you are willing to do for them.

I appreciate all the love and support.

I will try to do better in the future and I can only learn from this. Everything about it caught me off guard and I thought I could smell a rat.

i mean why are they doing all this jazzed up bull****. they email they send just look like someone has to justify why they cost so much money. I have had interviews with recruiters before and have have been really nice.

in the meantime. I should really work on my English and my typing skills. it might help me some more.

also on an unrelated but equally as important note. I just did a huge load of breakfast meal prep. soon I will have this down to a science and I will be golden.

I really look forward to the future... which is scary because it's the first time I'm saying this in my life.

Recruiters take on a big risk in finding candidates. They don't get paid (or have to replace for free) if it doesn't work out in the first 3 months (longer for upper management).

And obviously if they put forward poor candidates they don't get used again and quickly develop a **** reputation.

Kevroc & AIOTT were having a terrible argument about racism or something on FB that back in the day should have been a terrible argument in omg. It made me somewhat nostalgic.
07-23-2018 , 01:34 PM
I love those kinds of arguments, why don't they argue here anymore
07-23-2018 , 01:35 PM
Maybe we should argue about who is to blame.

Luke, it sounds like the "recruiter" or whatever was terrible. Honestly I'd have doubts about working for a company that hires like that. However, you can only control yourself and you also handled the situation poorly. Instead of deflecting about what a **** situation it was take it as a learning experience for how you can get better.

Going through multiple levels of interviews is pretty standard for a job. I've had to take multiple coding and math tests before I was even granted an interview. If you're not someone the hiring manager knows or if you are not recommended directly by someone they trust it's pretty standard.

It wasn't me, my white guilt made me do it

Just out of curiosity what would you make at these jobs that you go through multiple levels of interviews?
