have any of you tried to use snapchat? like WTF is with that UI holey ****. talk about unusable.

Snapchat is only good for hot girls and their pics get extremely repetitive after a while. Some of my mates had good accounts for a whilewhere they would just send a heap of funny ****. That ended pretty quickly.

Instagram is all fake, can be interesting to flick through but nothing more.

The tinder game is alright if you want new sexual partners or to flirt with scragamuffins.

Twitter is good to follow certain subsections / news. I know I used to use it more heavily around WSOP time (in fact that seems to be the case every year). When something interesting is on having people from that section of the community on your twitter often forms interesting reports / quicker and more accurate news than common media as it is often coming directly from the source

the rest are ****, i hardly facebook now, if i had no fam in England and i didn't use it to get in the club for free i wouldn't have one.

I think I almost use facebook now as the communication method for people I don't want to have my phone number or any real method of contact with me and check it once a day or two

I remember when you didn't dare call someone on their cell because it was so expensive.

I was going to make some comment about horses and whatnot but I'm suprisingly worried we are about the same age so I will refrain.

But yeah I don't think facebook started til after I had left school etc so fairly late in my life

I remember spending a small fortune every month sending text messages (mainly to girls) when they used to be like 25cents each. There was no unlimited plans back then.

And yeah phone calls were expensive as **** you would be lucky to spend a minute on the phone

Regarding "New tech".
The short answer is "you become your parents" when you don't keep up. The longer answer is stuff like twitter, snapchat, slack, instagram is where all the "kids" are talking and doing there thing today. If you have youngins at home its worth staying on top of the new tech that's coming out, one so you can talk about it with them and 2 to obviously spy on them. Will these services be the same in 7 years when Sophia is of age to get in "trouble" with them? I don't know but I do know .
Also depending on your station in life keeping up with tech might be important. Obviously for me I'm on the front lines of this stuff but social media and tech like it are replacing the traditional news sources, shopping and communication. There are even services now that offer "at home" Dr Visit via webcam..
