I think they have had a couple of years to adjust to suddenly becoming one of the top clubs, plus £100 million spent this summer = now is the time to start getting past teams like Moscow and Plzen in the group stages.

Depends if Pellegrini can whip them into shape. Mancini was blamed for the past two seasons, if City fail to pass the group stages again with an easier group than previous campaigns then where does the blame fall?

Pellegrini can just say "well its still mostly Mancinis team", and blame him

But i think experience in the CL is a big factor, and City now have a couple of years of that under their belts and hopefully it will show.
