eh, yeah he's ok imo. Him and Eric Johnson and Steve Vai, they're all obviously great guitarists, but their music is boring to me. I could never sit there and listen to one of their albums over and over like I could a pink floyd album or Hendrix or even SRV. It's just like .... ok, that's really good! .... ok so .... you're just gonna do that for an hour? OK I want to listen to something I can jam along with imo.

My problem with Sat and Vai and EJ is they aren't about the song, they're just about the lead guitar, and it's really boring. I used to be really into Black Label Society (Zakk Wylde), but he's kinda the same way, only not as bad. At least he actually sang and you could call them songs, but the problem with them was it was like the only point of the song was for him to play a guitar solo.

I love guitar solos, play them myself, but all the real technical **** that's just technical for the sake of being technical and there's no lyrics or anything is just really boring to me. Hendrix went on and on and on with solos but he actually wrote catchy songs, and they weren't used as simply something to have a guitar solo.

I have to lay down imo. I feel as though I'm incoherent, and I'm falling back on spell check like a mother ****er.

fwiw Im not a fan of that speed metal BS either , vai and sat , i know they are "great" but its a snooze to me too
