Rake is rake no matter where you play. He calculated the jackpot drop he pays hourly

Dude, maybe I missed something, but you pay way more than $3/hr in rake. While you are putting in your 20 hrs for the bonus $100 plus "freeroll" you paid maybe $160-$240 in rake depending on how nitty you and the table is ? What you are doing is getting live "rakeback", and I'm not saying that is a bad thing.

For the purpose Trooper's freeroll cost calcuation, under the assumption that all poker rooms are at the same rake level excepting the "freeroll drop" and the poker playing hours will be logged in Harrah's versus a non-freeroll drop room, then the "other rake paid" can be ignored as it is equal in both equations. Trooper's calculation seems satisfactory.

your "skill" doesn't take place in true EV config/computation in tournaments.

also, that rest of the contributions needs to be prorated over the entire time commitment.
