They have a vidgame baccarat stadium at Palace Station, I'm not a bac player (or banker) but I'd be surprised if it's anywhere near $25.

Will the properties on the strip give you a rollaway bed if you have a one king size bed ?

Yes, but they charge you a fee for one. (Unless you tell them you need it to store medication... wink wink)

Am I crazy or did I hear they have the full baccarat tables here, maybe in a high limit pit that’s semi secluded? You know the type where the dealer uses paddles to get cards to players far away?

Doubtful. Only seen the pit version and the mentioned stadium version there.

Yeah agree. I read elsewhere PS might of had a secluded area with the full table style. It was apparently one of only a handful of places to offer it and the only one off strip and for relatively low mins.

I miss the old small room at Binion's. $5-$5k limit. In my youth, I'd be playing nickels and quarters joking around with guys next to me playing hundreds and thousands.

I'm flying in Tuesday and will be there a week. Anybody know of any mixed games or non flop games in the 10-20 to 40-80 range that run with any regularity?

I'm making my first solo Vegas trip over Father's Day weekend and could use some help from the fine folks of LVL with the planning.

I'll be there 5 nights(Wed-Mon) and staying where the room offers take me. Last couple trips with the family we've stayed at Sam's Town, which was completely adequate for what we needed and I really had no complaints other than nothing being within walking distance. I could stay there again all 5 nights but I also have a couple free nights available at the CET properties so I was looking at staying on the strip the first 2 nights before hopping over to Sam's or maybe Gold Coast for the other 3.

I'm mostly a pit gambler but since I'll be there 5 days and not rolled for 5 days of craps I'll definitely be mixing in some poker... mostly 1\2 2\5 type stuff with maybe a daily tournament or two. I'll probably check out Bellagio and Aria at some point since I've never been inside either and I don't mind a short walk. I do want to do some gambling at MGM properties so I can start getting room offers there as well for future trips with the family.

I'll be golfing a couple mornings, may spend some time at a pool, and hope to spend some time sweating US Open bets in a sports book. Fine dining options or over the top amenities aren't things I'm worried about or looking for. I'm sure anywhere will be "fine", but if I have offers at several places, might as well take the best one.

So with all that TMI out of the way, where would you suggest, and in what type of room? If this trip does indeed remain a solo one I'll probably give my first Vegas TR a go.

Sorry for the wall of text, and TIA.

You may have already come and gone but I just back from 5 nights, stayed at Bellagio and both games/stakes were being played almost nightly, especially 40-80.

They're regularly having 10-20 mixed games at the Bellagio now? I never saw lower than 20-40 there, and even that was rare.

You may want to check a couple threads in this forum, Favorite Casinos and Las Vegas Secrets, that could give you some ideas.
My recommendation for you is South Point. It is a really nice hotel, has plenty of good eating options from top notch steakhouse to a cheap hot dog stand. There are lots of useful amenities and they offer good value. The casino pit has lower minimums, and the poker room has some of the best daily tournaments in Vegas. They also have a pretty nice sports book.
I've made about 4 solo trips myself and each one included a stay or visit to SP.

Sorry to hear that. I was playing 1/3 and it appeared either 10-20 or 20-40 were running on the table next to mine. Most players had 3-4 full racks of the orange and green chips so I assumed that's what it was. I noticed it right away because I've never seen action where the chips remained in the racks.

The sequestered/private room was also in use most every night, can't say the stakes though but at some point, there was a waiting list for 100-200 so perhaps that finally got up and running.

Any recs for mobile iPad screen repair? When I was in NY some guy met me at a sbux and charged me $40 to do my iPhone screen. Going to apple or Best Buy or even some of the indy repair shops it is looking like $200 for the iPad screen? The thing is probably 7 years old so that seems excessive to me.

Ya, they had at least 100/200 running every night in Bobby's room. The last couple nights 300/600 with Johnny Chan in the game.

Thanks for the reply. I actually stayed at South Point about 5 or 6 years ago when we were in town for a bowling tournament. I don't remember having anything at all bad to say about the place. Unfortunately, it's not somewhere I currently have room offers. I know it's not an expensive place, but now that my trip is up to 6 nights, that's an extra $800-$1000 I'd rather put towards gambling and golf. Other than that, you're right, it would do perfectly for what I need.

I'm not sure how I missed the Favorite Casinos thread, but I'll read through it and ask any other questions in there.

Not illegal, worst that can happen is they don’t give you offers. Couples do this a lot.

Separately though if you mean you want to get two rooms comped the same night, you probably want two cards for that.

I want us to play enough to where they look at our play at the end of the weekend and say that the rooms are comped. I have never tried this. Is this possible with enough play ?

Heading out for first time since the start of COVID in a couple weeks. Few questions:

1. Is Uber/Lyft still a nightmare? I heard terrible things from about a month ago like 2 hr waits at mccarran.

2. I'll be with my parents and other older family members and they like going to old school places to eat. Any of these stand out to you guys? https://vegas.eater.com/maps/best-cl...ants-las-vegas

The only one of these I've been to is Peppermill and I was underwhelmed so I'd probably nix that, open to all others though.

You can always have a host look at your play before you check out. Just ask at the front desk. Good rule of thumb is they can comp about 10% of your actual loss or your theoretical loss if you don’t have history or a relationship there.

The ones on the list I've eaten at:

Thumbs Up: HUSH PUPPY is good if u like Southern-style food. LINDO MICHOACAN is good Mexican food.

Thumbs Down: FARM BASKET is fast food and terrible FF at that. I thought they had all closed but I guess one is still around. CHICAGO JOE's was underwhelming my only visit.

Give me a call sometime and we can chat. Don't feel like typing out answers or scenarios, but I've had many Vegas trips solo and with a friend, very rarely with wife and never with children.
