Trooper's August win rate was a solid ~$1/hr.

I am shocked Trooper had a winning August !

It looks like Trooper survives to see another month in Las Vegas.

(ty DC for August info)

With a profit of $1,302 in August and loss of $809 to start September I show he is up $7,017 for 2017. He is up $20,912 overall since he started tracking in October of 2014.

doesn't Trooper buy in for $200? He doesn't buy in for 300 for what I've seen. I think his problem is shoving all the time with 1 pair hands myself

5:14 mark of Trooper's latest vlog.

Brutal, talk about insulting your customer.

Guy should have gave the hat back to Trooper for a refund.

How many native born Americans over 40 do not know the Cowboys are a football team ?

Trooper's years of watching the movie "Heat" has fried his social awareness of all that goes on in society.

Pitiful !

I've been noticing a boost in quality in the last few videos also.

Might have something to do with the new laaaadyyyy? There was a noticeable drop in quality after the Molly split-up.

Sadly I won't claim my poker skills to be superior to trooper but if you're at a table full of limping call stations isn't that the perfect place to 3 bet them mercilessly until they start playing back at you?

You guys are basing your judgements of Troopers poker skills on like 45 seconds of hand footage and practically no hand breakdown from him.

Personally. I watch all his vlogs. I like them. I like him. I get annoyed when most of them are eating and drinking coffee, but i enjoy is walks through Vegas strip. It's fun to poke fun, but i'm actually surprised some of you throw this much shade at the guy. He's never claimed to be some major pro. He's living Vegas and vlogging as he goes. I respect that. I actually would be bummed if he stopped vlogging AND I would buy a hat from him if I go to Vegas. Just because. I'm not a fanboi. But i respect and enjoy his vlogs.

Also someone said inside his car looks terrible??? lol Well, glad you dont see mine. If that is terrible then I dont want to know what mine would be called.

Here i got defending Trooper.

Ya he has that undef1. It's not great, but it's something. He has ambition though. He's got this clothing stuff. He's got the Youtube thing. It's hard to disrespect the dude when he's trying. I just cant sit here and knock the guy like some of you do when I know he's busting his ass doing the vlog and the clothing thing and playing poker. If it fails, it fails, but at least he went for it.

Anyone else tend to have the vlogs running in the background while they read 2+2 etc and only actually view them when they hear something interesting?

Probably when he is at home or at starbucks but I always like seeing shots of Las Vegas and inside Casinos as I have spent a good amount of time there and will be heading back soon.

We've been watching his vlogs for like 3 years. Generally these days when he breaks down a hand it's even worse than what we expect. Anyways, his terrible results speak for themselves.

He put next to no effort into becoming a good poker player and that's what he came to Vegas to do! He didn't come to Vegas to vlog, or to start a clothing company or wait tables, or deal poker, or anything else he has done since being in Vegas. He came to play poker and he has failed miserably at that because he never put forth the effort.

You kind of already did.

He also started a weight loss thread in LLSNL and then immediately disappeared from it never to return with any positive updates. I lost 60lbs in that thread though.

Meds? A new backer? I'm 100% sure we'll never know. Nothing must disrupt the waking up/leaving apt/starbucks/poker/fast food break routine we see in every single video.

But how much is he up at 1-2? He played some 2-5, ran really well and clearly has no intention to play 2-5 anymore. So a good chunk of his winnings are from the heater he was on when he played 2-5.

The mistake, as everyone knows, was him taking a shot at 5/10 without being rolled for it. Trooper was aware he was not rolled for it as he stated in his video, but just because you are aware of something and then make a bad decision does not make it the smart thing to do. With the money he had won in that short time period, plus his existing roll would have probably made it possible to play 2/5 full time, or at least pretty close to being able to do so.

Instead he is back at 1/2 grinding out his $1k-$2k a month if he's lucky. I think everyone that plays poker full time has certain goals. Some people have the goal to move up to the highest dollar level they can by studying and working hard. Some will get to 5/10, which is a really good achievement. And then there are people like Trooper who are happy playing at 1/2 for life.

This thread has taken a turn. Some might say it is even balanced now. Even some normal haters have some nice things to say about Troop. Is it because of the holiday weekend and everyone drinking and feeling generally good?

I started that thread because 3 or 4 people wanted a thread but were too lazy to start a thread themselves and asked someone to volunteer. Why would I post in it if I am. It actively participating in weight loss? Though I am down about 13 pounds over the past 3 months.

I've seen how he plays in person and so have several other people. And even though he doesn't talk about hands that much these days, he has come out with videos nearly every day and has talked about enough hands over the last few years and discussed enough about his thought process that it's clear he doesn't know what he is doing.

Actually one of the things I dislike about him the most is he does talk like he thinks he is a major pro. He shows a lot more arrogance than some of the other vloggers that are far more successful than he is. If he said poker was just a hobby that makes him a little extra money on the side and admitted he isn't a serious player, he would be easier to like IMO.

I think one of the most frustrating things about him is he doesn't have ambition. He makes the same beginner mistakes over and over again. Those mistakes are easy to fix immediately. He obviously doesn't study, never used these forums to improve his game and turned down free coaching offers. What's his plan to improve enough that he can move up to 2-5 and 5-10?

What's his plan to get to 100k subscribers? Andrew hasn't even been doing this for a year and only needed a few months to surpass him. A year ago, after 5 years of vlogging Trooper barely had more than 10k subscribers and only went past 20k because of Andrew.
