They wanted to play together. There was no mention of them sharing a bankroll, unless you're talking about 5 years ago, in which case you are mixing apples and oranges.

If you are talking about this week, I missed it where he said they were sharing a bankroll. Then again I also missed any mention of soft playing each other.

If you're talking about 5 years ago, again speculation. Again, I wouldn't dirty a poker player's rep without proof but that's me. If they were colluding 5 years ago why would harry have made the lion's share of the winnings?

listen to the poker central podcast with Chris Moorman and it'll make you sick to hear how much he punted backing his friends. He was #1 on the pocket 5's list for tourneys I think and still may be at like 14 million in online winnings and it sounded like he was broke after winning so much online, which just strikes me as pathetic. A good player with good money management should'nt need a backer online Imo

I gotta be honest with you, Trooper's reputation is already in the crapper and it has nothing to do with #CollusionGate. BTW, Trooper did say they were thinking about splitting profits if they had played these small SNGs together but yes I was mostly talking about 5 years ago. I don't care how long ago it was. Integrity is integrity is integrity and very few poker players have it. Trooper is certainly no exception to that.

There is something hilarious and very Trooper-esque about that. "Guys, lemme address these serious allegations in the car, while driving, on the way to see Iron Maiden"

A really terrible idea but his execution was far better than what one could have expected. I think the reason he kept it together so well and didn't freak out is because he had Harry's interests at heart. For that, I'll give him props for being a good friend and seemingly acting selflessly for once in a blue moon.

Most of these players have far less money than we expect. A high stakes MTT pro told me before his big win this year Polk's net worth was probably in the $2 to $3 million dollar range. Now I'm sure Polk's net worth is going to increase quite a bit in the years to come and I have no clue if those numbers are even accurate but to even think the figure might be only 7 figures is absolutely mind blowing to me.

Honestly? It wouldn't change it at all. Like I doubt Troopers denial(which actually wasn't terrible) hasn't changed anyone's opinion on the issue.

The lady doth protest too much, methinks.

Look at Troops history and relationships.

Underground illegal dealer.
In the middle of a shoot-out during a raid.
Welches on bets.
He only wins when playing with Harry
The cat is out of the bag and he will be called out at the WSOP.
That hat

I agree that Troop should hang out with better people. Unfortunately for him, it works both ways.

By Thanksgiving, will Trooper even be relevant anymore? His vlogs used to be over 10:1 likes to dislikes. Lately, it has been around 3:2. Stick a fork in him..

Lol

Am I buddy buddy with him? No. I've tried to help him out in the past but found it futile.

My perspective about badmouthing someone's reputation based solely on assumptions and not facts? No, I don't think it's skewed, just diff from yours obv. Ymmv Cheers!

Sorry if this is slightly off topic, but my question is where is the line. When you find a father/son or boyfriend/girlfriend playing together at a cash game, isn't that potential collusion as well but you don't start a NVG thread about it every time.

He self edited and self published a video that puts together out of context clips that make the narrative look really bad. No one here did that to him, he did this to himself.

Is Mr. Ducks in particular out of line especially yesterday? Absolutely.

However it's far from out of line to have all these questions about Trooper and Harry when he chose to edit and publish the video that he did.

It's also fair to take him at his word in his live stream and YT comments that he just created a Misunderstanding through his poor editing in attempt to brag and there's no ill intention.

With his history of welching on Kraut in the weight loss challenge it's fair for people to choose to not to believe him, as well.

At the end of the day, however, I think he's handled this mistake as well as I could have hoped for him and ultimately I doubt it will end up hurting his reputation. Those who are looking for any reason to trash on him and blindly defend him will remain unchanged and the rest of us will mostly just view it as further proof that his self-editing/self-awareness leaves a ton to be desired.

Not much will sway you if you're grouping recreationals that know each other in a cash game and alleged team play between poker pros in single table SNGs. Surely you can differentiate the scenarios?
