Pokermonk just released his first post-2+2 feedback vlog, and I think he stepped things up a good bit. The editing seemed tighter and there were a couple of legit funny moments (one legged ladies....lol) along with fewer lulls. Was it perfect? No, but how many vlogs are? And more importantly, I think if he keeps things up and continues making strides - along with holding true to posting on a true weekly basis - he should see his subscriber count increase.

My one specific piece of additional feedback is during the hand analysis be sure to keep things on screen the entire time. It really helps us not only follow things but also helps retain our interest. But overall, good job PM!

Yes, many of us do.

I like the tallying, and occasional small commentary.

More work than we can imagine I presume.

Only problem with Pokermonk's latest is that he gives a shout out to all the 2+2ers that responded to his request for feedback but he forgot to mention me

Kraut's fans are terrible at packaging breakable items. You can't just drop a snowglobe into a padded mailer and expect it to arrive intact. Kraut does go above and beyond to show his appreciation of the gift lucky charms even if they arrive broken. Really speaks to his character.

Speaking of Kraut does anyone know what days/times he's working at Luxor? I'm going to be in Vegas in a bit and would stop by to say hi.

Neeme's latest wasn't his best. I think I like the inset or overlay hand discussion better than just the voice over.

ETA: Since we're doing this my top 5:
Neeme
Brad Owen
Matt Vaugh
Kraut
Pokermonk

Pokerkraut has been taking subtle shots at Trooper in several of his recent vlogs.

One he walked past the scale of the Heart Attack Grille..where Trooper famously welched on his bet..Kraut said "ah..memories".

In his most recent one he takes a dig at Trooper's filthy car when he devotes a good bit of time at the end of the vlog showing him washing his car.."poker players do other things too"..so classic..

Since we are doing a Top 5, I'll go with:

1: Neeme
2: Trooper
3: Pokerkraut
4: Frechette
5: Tie between Owens and Boski

anyone else get the vibe that Neeme would be good at anything he does?

I happen to agree with you, but it's largely moot since he'd most likely only do this for sessions at tables where he can film, i.e., not in Vegas where he normally plays.

That's exactly the argument that people make AGAINST being a poker pro. If you can succeed at poker, you can succeed at so many other things that are easier and pay better.

Not really. Poker success requires certain characteristics while other career paths require something different. Sure there are overlaps such as intelligence and commitment. But I can't imagine someone like Daniel cates managing people I'm a Fortune 500 office, Scott Siever as a personal trainer, or Erick Lindgren as a financial adviser.

#1 Jeff Boski - most on film success of vegas local pro. he doesn't play abc rookie game. chicks on camera. vlog proceeds help good cause.

#2 owens - consistently solid vlogs. which include hand analysis. mixes in friends tourney runs and his occasional tourney play.. he gets away from vegas. comes off genuinely nice and witty.

#3 trooper - he churns out most content. good videography. 2+2 gawd.

#4 any pro. polk, negraneu, cody

I don't dislike neeme. vlog content pretty good. i jus don't think he's that good of a player. so limited interest. and pokerkraut probably not as good a player as neeme. so one below average player to keep up with is enough. trooper wins out because of daily content.

i'm pulling for bikeking19 to put together some quality content. right now he's more interesting to me than neeme or pokerkraut.

I think that just speaks to the type of person we should all try to be. I'm happy to have him be a representation of poker players to people watching on YouTube.
Every time I watch Kevin I am amazing how awesome he is in every situation. I was hoping he would do a time laps of him putting it back together.

well I was more mentioning it with how good his Vlogs editing and filming quality are....and he is relatively new at it. there are others that are new at it and the editing is terrible

I just think if he started playing competitive putt putt (or insert anything else really) he would be very good at it

some people have the knack of being good at everything they try....

OK OK I hate to agree with Angry Grandpa (DC2LV) but all you pokermonk fanboys may be right. I just caught his last vlog and it was pretty good. I've been trying to figure out why I disliked his past vlogs so much -- I think he may have exposed too much of himself for my liking. All in all, a good vlog -- good music, nice scenery, and hand recap.

+1

Neeme is also expanding poker into YouTube and clothing.

I always wonder what successful poker pros plan to do with the second and third acts of their lives. It appears undetectable bots will dominate the online games in the near future.

Sorry to interrupt the circle jerk of your top 5, but RayzRayl has the best thread on here and the best vlogs. It's a cult following.

Can't believe Neeme went to Hwood Columbus. That place is the biggest dump in the buckeye state. Should have done Cleveland. Probably close to same distance from the D.

He posts once a month. His thread is more interesting and gives you a preview of the vlogs.

Boski
CzechRaiseCharles
Rayz Rayl - His old vlogs were better but still a must watch for me
Trooper
5a) Pinnoy Image
5b) Toad on the Road
5c) Hello7027

I also like Royals5 though he's not a poker vlogger

All of the 5's have potential to move into top 2-4 based on personality and poker action.

Neeme is overrated and I can't watch more than 30 seconds of Brad's vlogs.

Would like a vlogger of colour to emerge.

Doesn't Pinoy qualify?

Pinoy isn't bad, but one can only watch so many vlogs..right now he is on my AE list.

Not sure how you can say Neeme is overrated..he is the gold standard of poker vloggers today..

Can't say I have a top 5. Guys I watch are,

Neeme
Trooper
Boski
Kraut
Brad Owen
Negreanu(he's done like 3 or 4 if that even counts)
Doug Polk (again, only has made a couple)

The only guy I'm considering removing from my watch list is Brad Owen. And nothing against him at all, he seems like a really nice kid. I just find them to be a little boring, and lacking the LV visuals that Neeme and Trooper show. It's basically Neeme's vlog without the great editing and camera "tricks"

One thing good about Brad Owen: he is making an effort to connect with his viewers. Kraut as well -- he has his viewers make cameos in his vlog.
