Rice shows off his skills with his trusty kitchen shears in today's video, meticulously cutting up all his deli meats that he got from MGM buffet.

All the while bragging about how it only took him 9.5 hrs of poker play in order to earn the comps for this feast. He can't fathom why people bother earning real money and then pay for food and beverages like suckers.

Then he shows us how to make a mini fridge out of a bag by filling it up with ice from the hotel ice machine. Explaining that he'll be keeping his buffet haul in there for the next 2 days. So either his hotel room has no fridge or he is doing another *no room for 48 hours challenge*

look I've been living in hotels for a good part of the past year and getting a fridge is the easiest thing , I tip a 10 dollar at check in and they send one up . I still can't get over him leaving all his food in the bathroom .

it's smallish but it will hold food

Rice eats more sausage, pepper and onions than anyone I know. He must think he's a character from the Sopranos except he skips all the good quality food those guys ate as well.

$10 is more than Rice's entire food bill for the week. He's not tipping anyone $10

Rice wouldn't pay $10 more to upgrade his room so H&R had to get his own room. Then Rice promptly moved into H&R's better room to welch of him. That shows his mentality with money.

I guess I understand why he has a dividend stock portfolio and I don't.

Eggs on English muffins, a little salad, some cheese, bacon, coffee, orange juice, white table cloth with some flowers on the table, excellent service. About $6.50 USD in Eastern Europe.

Don't know if that would be Nomad approved.

Rice would wear a suit and tie to eat that.

I wonder what size bag of rice he buys ??

It only took everyone pleading with him in the comments for every video “Please diesel stop eating only rice, bagels, and sausage!”

Yeah, he will set a record for sure unless he goes to council bluffs and eats Casey’s pizza 4 times a day.

He’s shown one of the bags in an older video, it’s 20lbs+ I thought.

Sorry guys forgot something else is my trip report that will make Diesel sick.

About 2 weeks into my trip I paid 40 bucks to have my laundry done. It even included pick up and drop off at my hotel. I know I'm only supposed to spend at most 5 dollars a month and I'll never be able to make it in poker if I continue to do such frivolous things.

Early in shoe but it starts off huge nothing but little guys so we’re at a tc of 1.5 a few hands in and I up the bet slightly

Get 33 and dealer showing a 5 so we split, get another 3, split again, another 3

Wind up 4x hands below 13, one of which was doubled, dealer draws to a 5 card 21

Swongs of bj would rip our hero apart

This actually reminded of a Vegas trip just before COVID.

I wrap up poker and have about 3 hours before my flight. I go to the Palms but see a pit boss who kicked me out that week so I go across the street to the Gold Coast. Pen was generally pretty meh but I found one dealer giving decent pen. I would generally spread 50-300 in double deck but when I knew I was leaving id go all in for more than that in a good count or spread to 2 hands if it was the last hand before the shuffle. I have 600 in blacks and maybe 80 dollars in green and red. So I go to 2 hands - one hand of 300 and the other for the 380ish.

The first hand is whatever, second hand 7,7 vs a 6.

I ended up splitting 3 times for a total of 4 hands 2 of which are doubled. I end up with a 19,18 and 2 stiffs. It also took a while bc the dealer had to keep making change.

Luckily the dealer breaks and again it takes a while to get paid everything bc of the odd amounts.

As the dealer is paying me the pit boss takes the decks out of the discard tray and is counting them down which I think is hilarious bc you can have surveillance count it and ans not be so obvious. I get a bunch of 500 dollar chips and cash in five of those at the cage plus whatever loose chips were left over. I know anything over 3000 they'll ask for ID and I don't have time to argue. Then I swing back by the Aria to dump the rest of the 500 dollar chips in my box there before I head to the airport.

It's fun when the big big split hands end up going your way.

There was a grizzly old pit boss who used to do this at Circus Circus. He would do it in a real menacing way like as if he was conducting an investigation into suspected cheating or something. One time in particular I thought he was surely going to give me my walking papers but thankfully he backed off the young kid playing at 1st base who was so obviously moving his bet with the count. Another time when he started to do it, I knew it was definitely me he was investigating as he had been staring me down for a while. I promptly got up and took my leave, as the count had just dropped and I was up a bunch.

I forgot about Diesel's earlier vlog on what percentage of 1-3 players he thinks wins at poker. For reference, he said 1%. Since he knows he wins at poker, he thinks he's in the top 1% of 1-3 NL players. This would also lead him to believe that 99% of the negative YouTube commenters are losing poker players. It all makes sense why he's always so smug.

Which leads into today's vlog which was another Q&A. Someone asked him what percentage of 1-3 NL Vegas players are winners. He was observant to realize that the player pool here are better on average than other places but he only raises the number to 4%. Lol.

I can walk into Caesars any night and play 1-3 and easily pick out at least two grinders a table that are winners. At Aria, I can pick out at least three winners a table. I'd say the true percentage of winners in Vegas 1-3 games is between 15-20% and might be higher.

While Diesel thinks it's a brag that he can beat Vegas 1-3 NL games, it's actually more embarrassing that a super nitty style that he plays can win around $10/hr. It also makes sense that he doesn't believe anyone could beat these games for more than him since he's in the top 1% and has been for a long time. 99% of poker players at 1-3 NL player pool cannot do what Diesel can do! If he found out how much a solid exploitative TAG makes at 1-3 NL, it would blow his mind. I've made close to 10 bb/hr in 1-3 NL Vegas games and I'm nowhere near the best and make lots of mistakes but I do as well as I do because I game select well.

This is why it's so critical to game select well and find really bad players to play against and not the normal local bad regs that lose $10/hr like Trooper and Pman.

Good post Koshka, agree on basically everything.

Also Diesel is such a clown, like how is it possible to label yourself as a fulltime travelling pokerplayer and at the same time saying poker could get knocked down from 1.place of primary source of income if he deals 4-6 weeks during the summer.

Like his winrate/winnings from poker is such a small amount that _1 month_ of working as a dealer will possibly be a bigger amount than he pulls in from poker in _1 year. Pokerpro my ass, omg dude.

there are bad players but there are also usually several good players at every table taking advantage.

No shot he's in the top 1 percent. A top 1 percent player makes way more than his sub 10 dollars an hour and that's without having to play in 4-5 casinos a night and table change several times in each casino.

I'm sure the play level is extremely bad but also shows you how comically nitty his play is. Despite all of this hilariously bad play he probably made about 6 dollars an hour last year in these games.

He should be measured against for profit players. Why would a pro measure themselves against recs at the lowest stakes? That's absurd. I would estimate that he's in the bottom third easily.

Among for profit players he's in the bottom 5 percent and I'm being extremely generous.
