State of the Trooper address

Summary:

He was 18 and the Navy was calling him daily to recruit him into nuclear program.

Wanted to start a coffee business from a truck in 2018, thought was too much work and would rather ride a skateboard up and down the strip dipping in and out of poker games.

There won't be much poker on his YT anymore, except for Trooper Sunday. (Just like it has been for months).

No more shipping Sprkli, only local.

He is moving out of poker and all in on the candy business.

He is alluding that he doesn't have a boss (Lady Trooper)

Good for him, is definitely what he should do, he has no future in poker and has never been successful in poker and he’s ridden that road until the end. Seems like he’s trying to expand beyond siphoning money from his fans with their candy business and actually try to have a business that isn’t essentially a charity, that’s great for him

For the first time since he moved to Vegas, which was the right thing to do, seems like he’s doing the right thing. I’d still bet on it to fail but seems like what he should do

The military recruits troubled kids and people who aren’t going to college, really doubt they were after someone like the trooper in whatever po dunk town he is from, but also didn’t listen, and if that makes him feel better about himself since he’s an uneducated moron, more power to him. He turned down a life of nuclear exploration to wait tables into his 40s, seems about right

He has successfully avoided working for the man.

Unfortunately, he is working 24 hours a day for a woman.

T's life peaked in the 8th grade.

Trooper doing circles in his own mind and cooking up new money-making schemes never gets old.

And going all in on a candy business is an amazing plot twist! I think LadyTrooper really messed this poor kid up. I mean, I get that he was selling candy back in eighth grade, but this doesn't feel like the dream.

He could have been pounding the pavement and the felt all these years, doing daily vlogs around poker and growing his channel. He might have even learned how to beat poker for a small amount. She could have SUPPORTED him in that, but instead she poison dripped him into not caring about gambling at all, to where he's turning her side hustle into both of their full-time hustles. It's sad, man.

Plus, his hourly would go way up.

The white knight window lickers on here definitely shouldn’t do a forum search on old 2p2 threads where everyone constantly ridiculed short stackers live and online. There was even an acronym for telling someone to consider suicide, because it was said so often. It’s almost like this forum always had constant trolling for over 20 years and is actually more civilized now but don’t tell them that, commenting anything other than platitudes about people who put their lives on YouTube is bad, so very bad.
Diesel pretending to be a poker player is so laughable. He couldn't be any further away from being a poker player. A poker player embraces variance because that's the only reason bad players will put up their money time and time again.

It's ironic that every tweet of his he includes the #pokerlife hashtag. It's like he's trying so hard to convince everyone that he's living that "poker life" even though he's really doing the exact opposite.

He tried the poker thing for 10+ years and failed miserably. Ignored every bit of advice on content, business and personal life that could have lead him to his goal. But true to him, he made it about his face and fake tough guy personality. The template was right in front of him…Neeme, Owens, Polk, etc.

His female roommate didn’t poison him, she saved him! Without LT and her financial resources little Timmy would be driving back to SC to live with momma.

Arrogance!

Trooper is the exact person (low IQer from bumpkinville) the military tries to recruit to bait and switch them from a cool position (nuclear, ceremonial guard w/e) to making him a grunt carrying around a 70lb pack for 4 years minimum. He would be in better shape, have more money, better teeth, a hotter girl, and lucrative loan opportunities but he’s probably happier in his sloth life.

He doubles or triples his income if he gets more tables at Trooper Sunday but he would rather just keep cashing a check until Westgate closes poker, and then gamble his livelihood away on his girl’s hobby.

Why not be a Westgate sportsbetting proxy and play AP slots like he always says he can? Why not learn a couple poker concepts like how to play on trips boards? He makes fun of smokers but at least they know they are killing themselves slowly for a dopamine hit. Trooper flushed his life away for nothing.

No, he even mentioned some time back that he was quitting poker because he was lazy and wasn't going to study enough to keep up with the current players

Yup, Trooper says, f'ck e-commerce !
The rest of the world might be involved in e-commerce, but not Trooper.
He's going 'old school'. Hand delivery only, like he did back in junior high school.

Congrats: I didn't think Trooper could come up with a new way to f'ck things up, but he has.

He hasn’t won at poker since they got together. It would be one thing if he had extra money after playing, but he had nothing to show for it except complaining about bad beats.

If he had extra money from poker I’m sure she would notice, just like she would notice if he lost $500-$1k again.

It’s my understanding that cottage food industry licenses do not permit shipping of products. They were likely skirting the law for years by selling online.

He had it pretty good working part time at Maggiano’s and admitted he was taking very few shifts. When he quit he looked thrilled saying he was free.

He worked very few shifts and still felt like a prisoner because he worked more than zero hours a week.

There is just no way this will be successful enough to support both of them (with no help from the LT fund) without being able to ship everywhere in the US.

The amount of time and cost of ingredients, and now paying taxes on it all is too much for the small amount of sales they can deliver locally and get from the farmer's market.

Sure, it might work for a few months, but they can't grow enough.

Maybe he should start a new business and start selling coaching videos on how to crush the low stakes.

Also how to avoid tilt at the poker table because he used to emphatically say over and over that he doesn’t tilt.

Another possibility is how to pick up tells, another area he is an expert on (according to him).

Thats really funny if true, to know that that is why they cant ship online, so the site he made, and teased and promoted in typical cryptic trooper ways, is completely useless then?

So go gamble world crushed it, then he made a website that is unable to be used.

His whole video of the state of the trooper is so great because it really illustrates "everyone is the hero of their own story". Everything he does is screwed up in funny ways, but if you listen to him tell it, he was going to be the head of nasa until that was derailed by his love of being a waiter and being in a band. He was going to revolutionize las vegas coffee, but he would rather play poker twice a week.

Lol ya revolutionize Las Vegas coffee. Definitely an untapped market in Vegas. Hardly any coffee shops in town.

As much as I dislike the Trooper, you can't really compare his Vlogs with Diesels. I mean at least Trooper put some post production effort into his. Im talking about at the peak of his Vlogging, obviously right now his channel is a pile of crap.

Diesel may do daily vlogs but they take him all of 3 to 7 minutes to do. It's just 1 homeless bearded man and a camera. How he has managed to find 1000 regular viewers who tune into his inane daily ramblings is a miracle. That he is planning on putting his "premium content" behind a paywall in the form of a newsletter is the cherry on the cake!
