I'd expect that it would not be some herculean task to take a boosted board and reverse engineer it.
Hey an enterprising YouTube star like The Trooper could probably create a sponsorship tie-in for a branded board with some enterprising, hungry manufacturer somewhere which already can produce a non-boosted board of decent quality. (maybe, I don't know, try Brazil?)
