Who cares? "...but dude...." That was a playful jab that was blatantly not homophobic. A few months back "The Poker Guru" called an actual gay player Ryan Laplante the harder "-got" version of that slur after a tournament hand on stream and it wasn't a big deal he just apologized.
Randall is a fitting name for you that was also the snitch kid in that show Recess lmao

Not a good look for Mariano. Yes, he probably just said it reflexively and without realizing the impact it would have; and if he said he wasn't a homophobe I'd probably believe him. That still doesn't change, however, that in today's cancel culture the general public tends not to give people second chances if they've had the rope to hang themselves. Curious to see what, if anything, comes of this.

If you say that word reflexively surely it means you use the word in normal conversation. This is a pretty normal word for homophobes to use I'd think. People that are pro LGBTQ+ also use this word? Why?

What if the biggest podcaster in the world used it? You can be offended if you want but this is how pathetic cancel culture is most of the time, one individual pulling a Randall and tattling on 1 second of an 8hour+ stream in a spot literally nobody but him noticed as an effort to make him seem like a bad guy or even worse demonetize their work because of semantics and this need to virtue signal a false intent of hatred onto some obviously meaningless throwaway comment. Sad but such is the life of the duo who spend their lives talking sht about vloggers all day every day.
