Anyone know the background of the asian chick that just started vlogging mid/high stakes cash games in Vegas, lynn? It sounds like she’s a regular in the big games but have never heard of her. Is she a good player?

There was some discussion on here a month or so ago. She invests in start ups and has a lot of money. She was on the new season of High Stakes Poker.

I believe Lynne is a wealthy recreational player that really enjoys the game of poker. I have not watched her vlogs but she was on the most recent season of High Stakes Poker which I highly recommend.

Only on PokerGo. Next time they have something interesting on there (such as WSOP or new season of High Stakes Poker) I'd recommend getting a year long subscription because they will generally have a discount code at that time. Otherwise, I suppose you could just subscribe for a month and grind through it (14 episodes). The season is worth the price of the subscription IMO, plus there is some other interesting stuff on there like Hellmuth vs Negreanu Heads Up as an example.

Right now PokerGo is showing tournament final tables everyday which is boring to me but I suppose someone is enjoying it.

I ****ing love the trooper’s non sequitur road / pedestrian rage asides. The unintentional comedy is off the charts when this happens.

I have a tooth that needs to be pullled but I've been putting it off for years. Every other year it gets inflamed and painfull, and I get a round of anti biotics from my dentist which always calms it down. I have the money to pull it out but I've been putting it off because I don't wanna do it. I had oral surgery once before and they had to drill through my jaw bone to remove an infection. It's like heavy duty construction in your mouth with smoke blood and the smell of burnt flesh pouring out. Mine's getting put off hopefully until I die so I can't knock Timmy for not following up on his tooth.

I don't watch all his vlogs but I wanted to watch the ones from RW since I also play in a RW in the north east and wanted to see if the main property and eateries are as bad as they are up north. However, he shouldn't rant on and on because the floor gave a player back her $12 bet after the dealer inadvertently scooped up her cards. If that pot was mine, I wouldn't care one bit if the floor took her bet out and gave it back to her. If the pot was pushed to me I would have thrown it back to her anyway.

I was in a hand I'll never forget like maybe 5 years ago vs a middle aged female recreational player. I had kings. I bet, she raised, I 4bet and she 5bet jammed for like 150 bb's and I called. Flop came out and she freaks out crying out "where's my other card I only have one card!" the dealer obv scooped it up. Her hand was declared dead but she kept crying out "Can't I play with one card?".
So the moral of the story is the pot was pushed to me and I chopped it with her without even thinking twice. It was prob a 1400 pot . I knew she had aces (I knew I was crushed when I called) so I was happy to chop it anyway.

I would rather go to sleep at night knowing I do good ethical things during the day but trooper went off on tilt because the floor took out $12 from the pot and gave it back then player who's dealer took one of her cards. He wasn't even in the hand.

He is in no way shape or form a professional by any means. I've even talked to him randomly and don't have a problem with him but that's not what a pro would have done, not rant on and on about how the player should have protected her cards and poker is a game of mistakes and she made a mistake that she needs to pay for. Everyone who plays poker every day know these things can and will happen. They wanted to give her back a small bet and he wanted the money to stay while not even involved in the hand (he said if they did that to his pot he would never play there again sound familiar lol), and he even went on tilt over it. That man will always be a losing to below slightly break even rec. player with the mind set that he has.

Trooper was correct though. The player made a mistake by not protecting the hand. The other player should not be punished. If the room wants to create some goodwill then they should pay the $12 or the dealer that made the mistake should volunteer to pay the $12.

If the player wanted to voluntarily give up the $12 (which makes no logical sense but ok) then that's one thing, but this ruling is an absolutely atrocious one and the Trooper is 100% correct.

BTW, the Trooper is a slightly winning recreational player and is in no way trying to be a pro. This has been well established.

BTW, I don't buy the ethical poker player argument. I probably tell people I can see their cards about every other session. I've probably heard other players say they can see someone else's cards less than a dozen times over 10+ years. Poker players tend to be scumbags, period.

4-5 years ago when I didn't have insurance and needed a wisdom tooth out, the pain was unbearable for days. All in, it was $740 with enough gas to keep me high for hours it seemed. That's like a really bad day at 1/3. A drop in the bucket for your health and comfort.

I do wanna add that I agree the room made the wrong ruling and the money should have stayed but it's just a supervisor trying to make a fair ruling. It's not a ruling that would make me never play there ever again if it was my pot though.

Trooper is a former dealer and he likes to show how smart he is by criticizing dealer/floor mistakes.

But if he wants every room to not make any mistakes (esp ones that will tilt the trooper) and be at their 100% optimal level of offering poker to the public, then why on earth doesn't he utilize that same exact mind set into his own poker game?

This. In cases like this I've seen the casino pay the player, but the money should never come from the pot.

In the beginning, he wanted to be a pro.

Recently, he even said he should be playing 2-5 by now.

Putting it to work. Lady limps utg at bb 600, another limp. Rampage goes 2300, comes back to her and she ships 17,900. Rampage thinks 99 is a call. She has kings, but he spikes the flop.
