Aren't people normally at their highest motivation when they first start? It feels like pman threw in the towel before this even started. He's got money to get him through and in the back of the mind must think he can't possibly succeed at poker so he hasn't even given it a good shot.
People don’t often have their habits developed when they start. This reminds me of all those people that hit the gym after January 1 because of their New Years resolutions. Sure, they might seem motivated, but those people quickly realize that it takes a lot more effort than they’re willing to put in.

Patience. The movie is just getting started with Pman. We know how it goes with Trooper and it’s definitely not showing him working full time, playing 4 hours every day and vlogging every day. He complained a lot about working part time jobs.

Easy on pman. We don’t know **** about his struggles.

FWIW, pman shouldn’t be reading this thread. It will do him no good.

Pretty sure Trooper was putting in full time hours at the Linq, and playing several hours a day, and putting a vlog out everyday and you were still calling him lazy. Dude is an absolute animal, a machine that others should try to emulate.

You mean it will do YOU no good because you want to watch a train wreck. However, if pman truly wants to succeed then he should definitely read this thread.

The best thing about Bike kings linkedin is that he doesnt use proper bankroll management, he dusted off his roll in his vlogs, then he apparently although it was clearly a lie, had a 10k roll in 2019 at the wsop, and lost it all in mtts he claimed, bricking every tournament instead of doing what a responsible player would do and sell action or play in games he was rolled for. I wouldnt hire him to work at a tire place or whatever that job was.

From my limited experience with around 200 hours before March 2020 (f**k Covid), $20 an hour should be very easily obtainable in the lowest stakes games.

But yeah, obviously need to put in the hours to turn that into a decent living. 100 hours an hour should be an absolute minimum, and even that would only yield around $2000 a month.

Hopefully that isn't live, and he is out hiking on a final 4 Saturday, when he could be scooping up cash at the poker tables. If you are a professional poker player, you can hike on Tuesdays.

Hiking on a Tuesday is a good point. Waking to casinos or busing is also good and reasonable advice. So many mother hens in here that look for everything as a negative.

What does the p in pman stand for? Poker man?

Can we please retire the word "grind" for playing 2 hours a week or playing cause of gambling addiction?

Agreed. Pman is up front and straight forward with his personal life and mental health issue and have no reason to doubt him.

People should lay off accusing him of things and stick to constructive advice at most.

Thinking of costs why are you ubering? You should be walking, it’s what a 30 minute walk to Caesars? That and maybe a monthly bus pass. Isn’t the reason for getting an apartment close to the strip was to be able to walk to rooms? I’d also go check out the GN room downtown, you may like it. I’d take the bus for that one, as that’s not exactly a fun walk.

I would definitely get out to more rooms, I’d imagine when they have a game running that Sahara room is likely a good option.
Hey nit, great advice. I agree. I have not grinded at all. I haven't been downtown yet, might check it out soon. Yeah, Sahara is by far the closest but it's small. It is not a bad walk to Caesars / Wynn at all. I should quit ubering there.

It's a 7 minute walk to Sahara, 20 minutes to Encore (which will reopen for cash soon), 26 minutes to Wynn, 30 minutes to Venetian and under 40 minutes to Caesars.

You are paying a premium to live on the strip. Paying for an uber in order to "grind" low stakes for 2 to 4 hours has got to be one of the dumbest ideas we've ever seen from any vlogger ever.

BTW, you are skinny now because you are young. Eating the way you do and living the poker lifestyle means you will inevitably get fat. The walking will do you a lot of good. It's free exercise.
Thank you very much for your feedback.

I might be misunderstanding what you are trying to say, but it sounds like you are being an ass. I am glad you think I have money though!

Thank you. I do have some mental struggles; I'm not embarrassed to admit them at all. I have a long way to go. If you like my vlogs, watch them. If you don't, well, I'm not making anyone watch

pman is an abbreviation of my former online name PokerManiac. Friends invited me hiking today; I'm not going to turn down friends for poker.

Thank you. I am simply trying to produce content and let people enjoy my adventure. If they aren't interested and have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all. I know where I need to improve.

God bless all of you.

Like I said before, focus on networking with other vloggers and don't pay attention to the peanut gallery. Good luck!

He's already done that. Bike King.

Kids these days are such snowflakes. Oh no negativity! Someone literally does everything wrong and we are supposed to be positive about it.

Regarding mental issues, that reminds me of this kid I just met that has an electrical engineering degree from one of the top universities in the US. I asked him where he works, and he told me he works at an auto parts store. He told me his depression makes it too hard to think critically so he doesn't want to be an engineer (his depression didn't prevent him from getting his degree though). I understand very well that depression is real but I wonder if some of these kids are just using that as a crutch to be mediocre. I suppose if they want to be mediocre that's their choice but it's likely one they will regret in the future when their life has gone nowhere.

Every serious poker pro, will sacrifice fun/family/whatever for poker hours unless you have the luxury of not needing that income.

Poker, at the lower stake, is not freedom imo. It's the illusion of being able to slack and be your own boss w/o being fired for whatever unproductive thing you wanna do instead.

If you were serious, you'd be putting in 30-60 hours of poker a week, grinding a roll to move up to $2/5 NL, where you could at least, with an average skill, make ~$25/hour, which would translate to $40-50K+ a year depending on volume.

No one lives off $1/2 NL. That's just a joke.
