Regarding Troopers results, I show:

Oct 2014 - End of Year 2015: + $12,040
2016: + $1,855
Jan 2017 - September 2017): + $7,201

Total from October 2014 through September 2017 (3 years): + $21,096

Trooper did go on a - $7,987 downswing from New Years Eve 2015 through July of 2016. He also went on a - $4,163 downswing in the middle of 2017.

Trooper is too proud to do this. He also just isn't a very good player.

2018 Total: at least -$2285 in 214 sessions not including WSOP sit n go's and any online winnings/losses.

Reality: 3 unreported results which included one top of the parking deck rant about how bad he runs. I'd guess closer to -$3,500 than -$3,000.

He lost ~3k back in 2018. He started off strong in 2019 (+4k or so through February) but then I lost interest and stopped watching. He stopped putting the results in big text so it was too boring to find them. Before I could just scroll through to find the text.

When I compiled this he had more winning (131) sessions than losing (78) for the year. His average winning session was +$196.46 vs -$374.86 for losing.

He’s a huge crusher but shows losses for the IRS.

I actually thought he did this years ago because I couldn't figure out how he could keep losing and losing non stop for so long. But I now believe that he is so bad that he actually loses all the time and is a consistent lifetime loser in poker.

He's not a poker poker player. He's a gambler who has limited himself to poker where it's a much slower bleed than he would be seeing if he was in the pits. He manages to cover his losses with non poker money so seems to have his life figured out...in a way.

Maybe not. Red Rock is semi-near his old apartment, it may be near his new place too. For all we know most of his play is there, in which case he sure doesn't want to advertise it to the great intarweb unwashed.

It may be possible that he goes and plays there and doesn't vlog about it. It is also possible that the poster in this thread misidentified the person he played with and said it was the Trooper, when it may not have been. I would assume they are correct, but who knows.
There is no way in hell anyone else looks like him, trust me it WAS him he was down 300 when i left. Dam i was pissed 4 days later and Santa Fe hits the bad beat sheesh.

When Trooper doesn't report a result, I assume it's a 4 figure loss (-$1K).

I would estimate Trooper's 2018 losses as greater than (-$5K).

I highly doubt it, the only way i can see him faking it was for tax purposes...other then that I believe he tells the truth of what he wins and loses.

It’s hard to get it wrong when he is the guy in the room wearing the go gamble hat.

I think he was still upset about the $1k loss and the criticism following it, lost again and didn’t feel like talking about it. Even in his latest video I heard zero talk about any hands. And as a result I didn’t see any criticism of his play on Youtube.

I doubt he would miss the opportunity to brag about a win. He has admitted he does care what people think of him. He used to keep track of results and show them to his audience when he first came to Vegas. He won $19 an hour in his first 500 hours and said he expected to win more, around $25-$30.

He played at Red Rock in videos before. He also played at other locals casinos like GVR, South Point and Orleans. It’s just rare for him to do it. I think he recently mentioned in a video the possibility of playing at Red Rock.

People have seen him play in person. Play with him enough and you will see him botch some hands just as badly as the ones he talks about in the vlog.

Those first few years numbers are not bad for a part time hobby at all.

Was he playing more or less then now?

Early on he was playing full time. If memory serves me correctly he was full time for a month, then became a server at Magianos, then full time again, then a dealer at the Linq, and then full time again (then Go Gamble?). Perhaps I am slightly mistaken on some of that but even when he worked at the Linq he was putting in decent volume playing most days.

I don't follow the vlog anymore but I thought he hadn't been playing (or vlogging) nearly as much in the past couple years.

I have been busy playing online 99% of the time in 2020 so I have just been putting out Twitch highlight videos. I didn't put all my effort into this vlog with B roll, hole card cam sweats, etc. but I wanted to document it since I have never played a live tournament since 2017 without vlogging it.

I finally found a good editor that will be helping me put out great content. Please share any feedback regarding this vlog in this thread or in the YouTube comments.

If you want more daily content from me, check out JeffBoskiPoker on Instagram and watch my daily stories. Fine dining, bowling, dogs etc.

2021 is going to be the best year yet. Stay tuned!

He ran super hot in his first 500 hours ($19 an hour) so about half the $20k was from that. But he probably was a small winner.

He took several months off this year and he did play a little 2/5 and just about broke even. So he lost around $8k in probably a small number hours at the lowest stakes. Assuming he played 500 hours and lost $8k it puts him at minus $16 an hour for the year at 1/2 and 1/3.

But I seriously doubt he played 500 hours of 1/2 and 1/2. So he could have lost $20 an hour or even $30 an hour at the lowest stakes.

No way he is that bad though. I do think higher rake and possibly tougher games have impacted him. Rooms were raking $4 or $5 an hour 5-6 years ago. Now rooms want to take $5, $7, or in the case of Venetian at the beginning of last year, $9.

Depends on what you consider to be decent volume. After he quit the waiter job to play full time and before he started dealing at Linq he posted his stats and his hours played were less than I played over the same time frame. Only difference was he was playing "full time" and I was playing 2-3 times a week after work or on weekends while also working a full time job.

I was worried he encountered a bad trick while out pimping one of his $100 dinners. Glad to see that's not the case and he's back with a new video.
