I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up getting more views for these types of videos as opposed to the poker-centric ones. (And I use the term poker-centric very, very loosely, lol.) These what I did today and/or what I ate today videos and vlogs can be quite popular for some reason. But I'm with you, I'll take a hard pass as well.

On an unrelated note, just came back from a UK trip visiting Manchester, Liverpool, York, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Highlands. Loved the Highlands. What a beautiful place. I’ll visit Ireland next.

That's likely for show/decoration because it's against the law to use an actual straight razor over and over again on different customers. Perhaps the laws are different in different places/states, but I'm pretty sure that's a rule everywhere.

In any event, don't go to a place that is willing to do that. Every place I know of uses something called a shavette which has single use disposable blades.

Maybe Boski can confirm what was used on him. In any event, as someone pointed out earlier (and I'll quote Prince here), the first time ain't always the greatest. Give it another shot.

I had one a couple months back at Art of Shaving in Palazzo, and it was a fresh blade.

The razor was in a jar, and the guy slid a brand new disposable in when they removed it to start shaving.

I think it was a shavette. I never got a good look at it and I am not knowledgeable about anything shaving related. I was fearful of getting my throat slit the entire time, so the burning always had me questioning if I was bleeding. Many have commented that she shouldn't have kept going over the same areas multiple times and that may have caused the extreme burning and irritation.

I appreciate all the feedback in this thread. I have gotten an offer for a free shave at a local shop so I will report back next week and let you know how that goes.

Yeah, without him dusting off a few buy ins at "good games" every week or two the vlog becomes kind of stale.

I remember that but didn't think of it. I think you may be on to something here

And it can be had for even cheaper than that.

How often are you supposed to do this? I have to shave every day.

It was boring as hell and unwatchable. I'm shocked that I watched half of it but I kept expecting it to get better.

Kind of like in Rounders after a long session and you need a refresh. Just don’t end up like Albert Anastasia whole getting your shave.

I dunno man, I think Boski is more likely to give it than get it.

I suppose that means you have a good point.

Very curious about this Doug Polk Joe Ingram video.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yzHbC16Zz4s
Joe has an emotional breakdown and says--among many other things--that he doesn't play poker anymore.
Question: why are guys like Polk and Ingram quitting poker? I don't understand it at all (honestly)

Polk a multi millionaire doesn't need to play he can spend the next 50 years doing whatever he wants and be more than fine.

Ingram? I dunno, only plays on underground sites and not much live also well off maybe the stress too much?

These guys don't play for fun they played to make a living and that stress was probably too much after a while.

I caught a few minutes of Marle in a hand with Mamacita. Iirc Mamacita had Q9o and Marle had A7dd. Mamacita triple-barrel bluffed and Marle called her down all the way to the river with her ace high on a rainbow board of something like 325? and then she hit the gutshot 4 to make a wheel on the river, and instead of raising she just called Mamacita's river bluff. I didn't see the first part of the hand.

Then they showed chip counts and Marle was up about $2,600.

I don't know how it ended but I'm glad it went better than that time she lost early and went on megatilt.

Hopefully he was just having a bad day and will play again.

I was(am?) a big fan of Joey even though I knew from watching some of his earliest videos that he used to do drugs. Then he put out the below tweet and it made me angry that someone like him who has so much influence over young impressionable men is promoting drugs.

I understand that some people have had mind-expanding and life-altering experiences on drugs, but more have completely ruined their lives, and it's just too dangerous. It's playing with fire and Joey might have been burned. JUST SAY NO kids!

Also, maybe some of the guys he outed along the way with his investigations "strongly suggested" that he stop?

Haha yeah I don't think that someone who frequents Asian massage parlours all around the Vegas area is super worried about hepatitis (or human trafficking).

Thank you for wasting those seconds of all of our lives (times 3,000-10,000 people equals many hours wasted) it took to read this, plus another minute to put you on the ignore list. Please don't post things that don't contribute anything to the forum. This also goes out to those posters who criticize other posters instead of talking about vlogs. Just put people you don't like on ignore and stfu please.

I came across this video by Clubs and noticed his woman (at minute 1:24) looks a lot like Trooper's woman. You can draw your own conclusions as to whether they are sisters or cousins and whether Clubs introduced Trooper to his lady.

This badass lady used to work for PokerStars then she traveled around the world sightseeing and playing poker. She needs more subscribers (1k min) to get her channel monetized.

Because for most people, it gets boring. You have to be really, really into the game to want to sit at a table for hours, usually in complete silence or with at least one jerk, day in and day out. The edges are so small these days, and getting smaller by the day. Besides the money, there really is no fulfillment. The daily stress of possibly losing (or owing) large sums of money. So there are just a few reasons right there.
