I would call it "Mission Accomplished" if we simply see a shot of a "Go Gamble" hat on ESPN.

Spoiler:

Hope Johnnie Moreno continues to cash.
Spoiler:

Hope Boski's luck turns.

In short, good luck to all vloggers!

Yep, the good ole virtue signaler is playing a very cautions min cash game to ensure he at least returns a little of the investment. The Markup police got to him.

Seems like a cool guy and very impressed that he is technologically sophisticated enough to put together a decently edited vlog. As for the poker analysis, if you are watching 1/2 players and hoping to see high level poker play/analysis, the joke is on you.

To be fair, I have almost no experience in the game and don’t even really understand its appeal. But I feel like every time I watch any vlogger play PLO, they always both lose big and describe several plays that seems obviously terrible even to me.
Not that I can tell. Generally, the mistakes that hold em players make in PLO are that they try to value bet too thin and raise too much preflop. A hand where you should try to GII in hold em can be an easy check/fold in PLO. I'm looking at you, middle and bottom set. NL players are also used to iso-raising, when that doesn't work in PLO as well. You wouldn't be too wrong if you only raised preflop with hands where you don't hate getting called by everyone who hasn't yet folded.

That's for PLO cash. PLO tournaments can be different.

He’s probably just made it, but let us not forget that due to the 1.4 mark-up Moreno has to cash 41% above break even on buy ins to turn a profit for investors on the package.

Well he took the money rather easily. I think it's mostly an act. Again he has fans willing to stake him but I don't see him doing the things to make himself a better poker player.

Meh, I hope he just wings it. It isn't like the best player wins that event every year. Hell, the best players don't even finish in the top 100 every year. Why isn't the final table full of Ivey, Negreanu, Hellmuth, Dwan, etc... every year? Or any year? Moneymaker wasn't the best player the year he won.
Tim's early tournament play isn't bad but he is clueless when he gets to inflection points late and this separates the men from the boys. Moneymaker was far from the best player when he won but he made some of the best moves and plays and was a much more focused player.

I thought Moneymaker played fairly well and Farha underestimated him a little. Didn't hurt that he ran good too.

Pointless to go to the Trooper games this time of the year. You will not sit at the main table, they do not keep a move list (beyond the incompetent room manager's skill level), and Trooper doesn't move around tables. Go if you think the games are softer, but don't go if you think you are going to be able to play with the OG himself.

Episode 3 of Behind the Grind is here.

Zach and I both jump into the Millionaire Maker and then hit the town a few times to get up to some shenanigans.

This is our best episode yet.

If (I know, if) Farha calls the bluff when he even said out loud "you must have missed your flush" then we likely don't know who Chris Moneymaker is these days.

If you want to last, it's easy to make it to day 2 - just don't play anything. I only played the main event twice but one year I was really card dead and super aggressive table and I suck at poker so I just folded. Won 3 hands the entire day (smallish pots) and went into day 2 with still about 60% of my chip stack

Hopefully Trooper will gamble it up and go into day 2 with 10 million tho

If ESPN knows what's good for poker they'd put Trooper at the featured table sometime during the broadcast.

Lol don't be an ass. I watch plenty of 1/2, 1/3 poker vlogs and the poker is often fairly decent. Examples:

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNu...kk02XDF3Ft0fsA
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCTo...YHmllFVQ5k2rYg

Even Jaman played plenty of 1/3 in his past vlogs.

If they know what's good for TV, they would put a Trooper hater or needler at the same table. Without someone poking the bear, Trooper is the most boring person at the poker table. I've played with him and he leans back in his chair folding hands and playing with his phone. He rarely speaks and is only really "on" when he does his game at the Westgate.

Now if you manage to tilt him and set him off, you're in for some good TV and tilty poker (and I don't mean him ordering glasses of milk for the table.)

How does Trooper not move around tables. I know when the game started out, he would bounce around tables to meet everyone and give people a chance to play against him. That's the main draw of the game, right?

I really hope he realizes how much easy money that game makes him and starts to take it seriously like the business that it is for him.

I've been to three trooper games since last year. During last WSOP and this WSOP there were multiple tables, both times he did not move from the table in the corner all day and night. The other one I went to over the winter there was only one table, that was the only time I actually got to play in a game with him.

Two plus two was never mentioned once in the room, so no, everybody's screen names were not posted on a name-tag and tapped to their chests. Any way, how the heck would he know who I am since he never visits this board anymore, amirite?

If ESPN knew what was good for them, they'd stake like 2 vloggers in every day 1 and have them vlog it and hope one of them go deep'ish.
