Depends on night of week and time. It's tougher on weekends than weekdays, and harder at primetime than early or late. Worst case, you'll almost always be able to walk-in and eat in the bar.

Thanks. When we're doing the standard exploring then will make sure to call in to wherever we choose a book for a night later that week.

I went to Carnevino last night. I sat at the bar, had the caprese salad, bone-in ribeye, broccoli with smoked pork and Tuscan fries. I also had a few wines, plus the bartender was generous with tasting a few wines.

Great meal! But I should've just went to bed instead of to the poker table.

Never hurts to book, but what the other guy said.

I'm trying to plan four amazing meals for my friend who is visiting for his birthday next week. Unfortunately he's coming on sun and leaving tues so a bunch of stuff like è is closed. I think we're doing Picasso and Cut for the two dinners and looking to narrow down the lunch choices. Anything I'm missing that's really good and open for lunch?

Bouchon, Comme ca, china P, Mesa grill, and milos.

I wouldn't do both Bouchon and Comme Ca.

We're only doing two. Just want to know all the available choices.

I would do something a bit different for lunch like say Lotus of Siam.

Not interested in leaving the strip. Thanks though. He's a chef and has worked at multiple places with Michelin stars, and 3 of the top 6 restaurants in the world according to that top 50 list that came out last month. so I'm making him eat with me at super fancy joints and educate me on subtlety and nuances.

I went L'Atellier de Joel Robuchon for the seasonal tasting menu with the wine pairing. It's hard to describe why the meal is amazing except to say that everything was a perfect mixture of flavors and textures and that the wines just tasted right. Yes, it's expensive but I'm very happy I did it!

Do breakfast at Bouchon if you can get up.

About Le Cut

Just wanna post our experience there, maybe some of you already heard but w/e :

My girlfriend is really allergic to eggs, and anytime we go to a restaurant, we put a big emphasis on that fact to all our servers. So that night, we told both of our servers, and our main server even joked about it saying that it's was even more important for them than for her.

That being said, we ordered for like 800$ of food. 5 minutes later we get our drinks, and she only drank a bit of it before telling me, there was eggs in it. Pure white egg on top of it.

When I'm going to that type of high end restaurant I'm excepting this kind of mistake to never ever happen. And if it does, not getting called a liar/faker. We lost a lot of money going to that restaurant because we had to take the ambulance. She had to use her eppipen, we had a babysitter, we lost the tickets for Le Reve, etc.

I called management and asked for some kind of settlement and they offered 200$, then I whined a little bit and they offered 500$ in gift certificate and basically called us liars/fakers.

No way I'm even going to eat in that restaurant again. Careless people/management.

Btw if someone knows a good lawyer who could do all the dirty work, let me know.

What drink did you order? Maybe your server didn't know what was in that drink since eggs aren't a very common ingredient at the bar. Also how did the 2 of you order $800 worth of food?

Your girlfriend could see there was pure white egg [think you mean egg white] on top of her drink and she still drink it?

It is details like that which make me doubt your story, but if you want an attorney, open the phone book or google personal injury attorney Las Vegas. I am sure you will find plenty that proclaim themselves good.

Yes sorry about the confusion. It's the CUT at palazzo. dunno why I thought it was Le.

Not very hard to order for 800$ when their Kobe steak is 160 each, a couple of sides, wine bottle at 150, 2 drinks at 20, 2 starters + tips and etc. 800$ bill is really easy to get.

And to those having nothing better but mock me, gtfo. Allergies is a serious problem in a restaurant and when you pay this kind of price, you expect to not finish your meal in a hospital/coffin.

Yeah they even put a sign on their drink saying it's a cocktail made with eggs but she decided to drink it anyway because we have nothing else to do but post on forums and call attorneys.

I'm not sure how someone who is allergic to eggs or has ordered a drink before could not figure out that a cocktail would have egg whites. Cocktail menus typically list ingredients, and something like egg whites would not be left out- it's not like egg white is just a splash of soda. I'm not calling you a faker or a liar, but I do think you and your GF have more responsibility here than you seem to think.

And you said you ordered like $800 worth of food and then got your cocktails, which presumably means she drinks it and bad things happen right away or you at least spring into action right away, long before food arrives and possibly before food is even put in the computer, but you stuck around to pay the bill before getting in an ambulance? What am I missing here?

Go back and read your story. See if you believe yourself. But if it is, you have my apologies and hopes that the girlfriend is feeling better.

I believe your claim should be based solely on the cost of the emergency room, the babysitter, the unused tickets, and a refill of the eppipen. I don't know if you have done this, but gather up documentation and submit it to the restaurant with a request to reimburse you [with cash] for these items. Be nice and diplomatic. Also, point out that you are the type of diners who can drop $800 on a meal for two.

If they still refuse, tell them you are going to consult an attorney. I do not live in Vegas so I don't know this for a fact, but I am pretty sure you can find some who will give you a free consultation.

This is not legal advice as I am not an attorney.

Seriously ? You think the restaurant put all ingredients of a said drink in their menu ? You think we cannot read the word egg on a menu ? Be assured that if it was the case, the management over the CUT would have told me so, that it was our fault, the first 2 times before offering us the 200 and then the 500$.

About the order, you order everything and then they start bringing stuff starting with your appetizers and starters. So they brought the drinks and then very very shortly after we had to leave/call ambulance because she couldnt swallow/breath. You too think I'm lucky they didn't charge me the drinks ?

I'm just trying to visualize how you would have paid an $800 bill while your GF is being loaded onto a stretcher, or whatever. Particularly since most of the order hadn't arrived (including the bottle of wine that probably hadn't been opened yet since you were on cocktails). And you tipped? I've worked in restaurants, and I can't see how that happened.

As for the cocktail menu, obviously get a copy of it before you pursue anything else with them. I would be surprised if it wasn't on there. Not shocked or anything, merely surprised and certainly agree that it might not be there. Egg white is typically the kind of ingredient a bar would mention putting in their drink.

I don't think he is saying he paid for the $800 meal. I think he is just mentioning that offhand. If he thinks he will get reimbursed the price of the meal, he is grossly mistaken though.
