For those who are interested in distance/walking time - Google maps is your friend. Looks like the walking distance is about 1.3 miles to the strip. Longer to anywhere on it, depending on where you want to go.
Less than the driving distances by a good bit, because those involve extra turns and driving due to the one way roads.
Is that too far to walk? Not for me, but everyone has their own sense of "walking distance". Us city types are used to walking around more than suburbanites, I've found.
I've walked up and down the strip (and well along W. Flamingo) any number of times when I've been in LV, and so have an extended sense of "walking distance".
As a comparison, it is just under 1 mile to walk from Caesars to Rio - an easy walk for me.
As to how long (timewise) it would take - depends on your walking speed. The faster you walk, the sooner you'll get there.
