Holiday Royale actually published this testimonial on their site...

Bellwood
1/4/11
Rating: ★★★★☆ 4 out of 5

tight. i love this spot. great place to do business off the strip, ya feel me? it's a full one bedroom with all the basic amenities, with a storage facility in the back. shoot, you could run a full operation outta this spot, ya dig? holla at cha boy!

Can't tell if trolling or??? Anyways, I'm considering H.R as a less expensive alternative to the Signature for this fall.

My guess is whoever they hired to do those fake testimonials got bored. Anyone who actually stayed there would know it isn't "right next to" or "one block from" the strip as so many of those comments mentioned. More like a very short drive or long walk.

Only problem with HR right now is their prices keep going up and Hard Rock's poker room continues to suck. No reason not to just book a week while you see if you can find something better, though.

I'm flirting with the idea of staying in Vegas for more than a month this fall. If I'm only staying for a month I'm going to do the Sig, anything more I may just go with H.R. Seems that there are generally favorable reviews on the place.

For those who are interested in distance/walking time - Google maps is your friend. Looks like the walking distance is about 1.3 miles to the strip. Longer to anywhere on it, depending on where you want to go.

Less than the driving distances by a good bit, because those involve extra turns and driving due to the one way roads.

Is that too far to walk? Not for me, but everyone has their own sense of "walking distance". Us city types are used to walking around more than suburbanites, I've found. I've walked up and down the strip (and well along W. Flamingo) any number of times when I've been in LV, and so have an extended sense of "walking distance".

As a comparison, it is just under 1 mile to walk from Caesars to Rio - an easy walk for me.

As to how long (timewise) it would take - depends on your walking speed. The faster you walk, the sooner you'll get there.

Even if it is only a 1.3 mile walk (<30 min), is there a similar type of place that would be on a bus route?

I take the buses in Vegas and it's definitely better than walking at 2am-6am time frame thru a rough area.

imo you should be factoring a little more than 1.3 miles.

It is possible to shoot directly down harmon to the strip, but the much safer route is to go up to flamingo first, then shoot over... this adds probably about a third of a mile..

the siegal suites i mentioned is directly on the bus route. so is americana.

That's the full post...not sure why it cuts off when I'm looking at it but I hit reply to my own message and the full message appeared. Tech error or NSA censorship?

I'm looking to be going to Vegas sometime this year for a month. Trying to figure out when is the hard part, cause I'm a full time student mostly taking online classes. I might take just online classes next semester and come up in Feb. or something, or just wait till the WSOP in the summer.

I'm looking at Blair House, HR, and Clarion. Are the prices for HR correct on the website? They don't seem to be. Studio same monthly as a 1 bedroom? Doesn't seem right. I'll most likely go for the one with the cheapest monthly rate. Leaning towards Clarion. Location is important cause I live all the way in Florida and definitely won't be driving.

I'd take clarion over HR but you really need to look for yourself. For a month you might just want to find the cheapest hotel you can maybe downtown and get a bus pass. Rates on the strip have been getting pretty high on weekends lately.

Your best bang for the buck would be to come right as the wsop is starting in May then you have more action 24/7. Just come while the fish are here before they are gobbled up by the sharks.
