Don't know where you are staying in Dallas, but you might want to find your way to the Flying Saucer in Addison.

If you want a Texas brewed IPA, try the Deep Ellum IPA brewed here in Dallas.

Edit: If you are looking for a decent selection of craft beers to buy and take back to your hotel, you will pretty much need to hit a liquor store. Most Texas brews are keg only at this point and can only be had in a bar. But Rahr and Sons from Ft. Worth makes a nice stout called Ugly Pug you can get in six packs. They also make a decent IPA called Storm Cloud.

This is legitimately more beer info than I thought CC kept stored in that noggin of his.

I'm a big fan of Revolver beers if you can find them. Blood and Honey is their most popular, but I'm a fan of darker beers and love their Bock. Lakewood Brewing also makes some good beers, particularly The Temptress. As far as IPA's go, Deep Ellem IPA is good and Lakewood makes a beer called Hop Trap. I have heard good things about Community's Pale Ale, but it's not a true IPA, so take that with a grain of salt.

Flying Saucer has a great selection like CC said, but there's a bar called Common Table closer into downtown that has great selection. It's also a block from Gingerman. Between the two of those, you should be able to find pretty much any of the local beers. Not sure where you're spending your time.

I won't fight you about traffic being terrible or the women being pretty, but there is definitely beer worth drinking.

FWIW, I'm a huge fan of Oskar Blues and really want to visit the brewery.

24 Hours and Counting.

I will be landing this time tomorrow. Excitement is flowing and Drago is ready to "BREAK" the Mirage cage once again. Goal is still to attain the coveted chocolates and banana chip sandwich. Two $5k chocolates sandwiching the $1K banana.

Flight is at 8 am. Will start posting with road beer as usual, airport, etc... Tee time at Shadow Creek is 11:25 am. Planning on doing Desert Pines the next day. Lots of downtime for drinking and gambool. Thinking of learning a little more about sports betting this trip and less Keno play.

Here we go boys!

Make the trip. You'll enjoy it. Plus, then you can run up and down from Boulder to Ft. Collins to check out Avery, Odells, etc.....

Day 1.

Let's get this started. Required shoe pic. Been waiting since Christmas to wear these babies:

And of course my traditional Vegas bound road beer to the airport:

Current temp at the airport. Thank god I'm leaving this icy, cold crap:

Off to the airport bar.
