Yeah 2%. Seems about the same as using Coinbase that charges 1% plus kasikorn wire fees, because coins.co.th doesn't use wires.

Bitcoin has been on a heater for awhile, but it doesn't mean anything about it's future value. I bought some in 2013 or 2014 and have kept since and I'm still net loser with these for example.

Using bitcoin without educating and trusting a random wallet seems like a bad idea.
Picking a proper wallet and not having too much in Thai bank seems OK.

long time 2p2er here but I lost my old account in the great hack years ago. my girlfriend and I are going to thailand for the first time in January. We are starting in bangkok then going north then flying south to the beach for about six days.

we're having a tough time coming up with an itinerary for the beach. any suggestions would help. we're mid 30s. we don't want raging parties but we do want some decent amenities (good food especially). we want good beaches, snorkeling, kayaking, maybe some hiking. Mid range price and no massive resorts. we would prefer to move hotels and/or islands only once or twice, so a decent base camp that would allow day trips would be nice. we are leaning toward the andaman coast but are open to any and all suggestions...

99% of appartments are rented furnished so yeah there will be a bed. Anywhere from 1000 to 5000+ for LT, it depends of a lot of factors.

maybe the TAT can stage an intervention at the eleventh hour arguing how important the bar is to tourism in the lower to mid suk area. it's a bar that serves as a staple on any sex tourist's nightly itinerary and will be an added body blow to the bar industry as a whole. i can see many japanese and farang big spending types skipping bangkok entirely if this bar is allowed to be shut down.

Regarding the grind, yea just take the precautions you would take anywhere and you should be fine, if hotel check the reviews on the Internet, can use phone as back up, etc.
