V stands for
Victory, and in that vein, I offer you three reasons that start with "
V" why you should vote for The Simpsons over Seinfeld:
1.
Versatility: The Simpsons has parodied everything from ancient Greeks (Homer's Odyssey) to modern-day celebrities. It transcends many different forms of humor, and has proven that it can successfully embody many different genres. Seinfeld, on the other hand, stuck with the same schtick from day one; it's a show about nothing, yadda yadda yadda.
2.
Venerability: The Simpsons is the longest-running primetime scripted television show. Although both Seinfeld and The Simpsons have enjoyed being the most popular show on television at one point, the show that everybody talks about, The Simpsons continues to last at this day, and shows no sign of stopping.
3.
Vascular Organ (or "heart," as some would call it): The Simpsons has a heart underneath its many layers of hilarity. There are touching moments in the show, moments that pull on the heartstrings. Seinfeld utterly lacks this, and although funny, it never really gives anything more than just being funny.
Oh, and if that doesn't convince, Seinfeld's series finale was the "worst episode ever!":
