Anyone who has any doubts as to which of Jeter or ARod is the better player is delusional. It's not even remotely close.

And they're both douchebags.

Message 1 of this thread has it.

as a canadian i find it very confusing why u would ever considor turning pro at poker turnnys. as a amatuer your big scores would be considored windfall and therefore nontaxable. it would be up to tax canada to prove you play with a expection to win
and if u kept careful record im sure there isn't a judge in canada who can claim you expected to win at say a 70% rate

Where's the photoshop of the Nigerian Poker open?

Also the implication that I'm taking steroids has caused me to be sanctioned in my non-competive intramural floor hockey league. This could have far reaching implications for "The Chillidoggers" if they lose their #1 goon.

Really great interview. As a casual cash game player, hearing about the tournament world and makeup and the live scene whatnot is like going through the looking glass and makes me long to get back to my 100bb 6m comfort blanket

Re: anonymous high stakes playing. The current set up of sites and their sponsored pros makes it tough to implement - Phil Ivey pretty much has to play as Phil Ivey on full tilt, so the players not in red would be at an advantage versus them, so to do it, they'd have to rejig a lot of their whole marketing efforts. Not that an alternate way for the sites to put money back into poker than their current method of sponsoring a load of high profile dead money live pros wouldn't be a good thing.

Another great episode gang. I'd like to add my voice in stating that you really shouldn't experiment with the "late night tv" intros and go back to the funny intros. I'll take it a step further and try to give you a couple good reasons why...

Besides the intros being unique to the Pokercast, which is reason to keep them alone (as why would you want to be just like everyone else in how you open the show) and besides being worth a laugh, the intro is really the intro to 2+2. The last segment is always, or usually, taken up with sponsor info but the first segment I think is something that gets people to delve deeper into the forums and 2+2. Whenever you guys make a joke, there's usually a thread to accompany it and after talking about it, goofing on it and having a laugh people can go to the forums and see it for themselves. Besides it's usually poker related and lastly, it's part of the personality of the show which would be a shame to lose. So, in my opinion, I'd ditch the standard, boring intro and get back to cutting Bunner loose. I suppose if Bunner were Don Pardo and you guys were going into major market syndication it may be different, but in this case let's get back to obscure references from deep within BBV that make us all laugh.

That said, I'm always a fan. Nice work this week!

Great show as always guys. I will add as well, please bring back the funny intros.....We know who the guests are from the pokercast title. "If it ain't broke...don't fix it." Keep up the good work, and thanks for giving us the best poker podcast out there

Neil Channing Rules... he should have his own story time like the Skalansky minute. Great show I have a boring job and recently started listening and yuo won't believe I have listened to over 20 shows in the last week as well as many other podcasts. I am now constantly looking forward to more shows.

looking forward to the tournament, hopefully I will be able to make it and also maybe you can do a HORSE event at some point so people can learn it.

bring back the jokes.

liked the de wolfe story

Great show. I really liked the Sheets interview, though it was a bit depressing I suppose. It's good to get a realistic look at the MTT tournament scene.
