Yours did not disappoint, though.

Real money play is not yet available at Private Table.com.

I was all ready to go help them start generating rake, because **** those foot draggers in Sacramento.

Downloaded the client. It is gawd awful. I tried to get in a sit&go. Two other people and I just sat there for an hour (went to watch something on my DVR) with no one else joining. I got bored and quit.

I remember years ago, had taken some LSD, bumped into an old friend on Lieth Walk, went back to his and he always had a great sound system, i asked for a request...said i had to listen to a particular song, Teenage Riot by Sonic Youth...he sticks it on and **** me, the intro took forever, i dunno how long it is in real time, but on ACID time it felt like half an hour...I don't mind the intro at all, but i just wanted the song to kick in and it never did. By the time it kicked in...i was in the depths of hell.

However, I did catch them at the Barrowlands, supported by Pavement and took some fine Acid for that gig and that went very well. The crazy drummer for Pavement was handing out blank jigsaw pieces at the auditorium entrance...he was very matter of fact about it. Then during the gig he kept throwing his sticks into the air, and half the time he'd drop them...I was like, so that's why they have two drummers.

Last woman standing...

Why is that such a big deal?
Why aren't other groups recognized for this feat, like last black player standing, or last Catholic player standing?

If a poker player is a poker player, why do we keep recognizing a certain subset of players for going deep in the main event?

Demonstrate to me that any of those other demographics you cite are as grossly underrepresented versus their proportion of the general population as women in poker. I'm all for anything that increases the participation of women, because currently being around a lot of women and playing a lot of poker are effectively mutually exclusive.

Don't they make mention of the last Canadian/British/European standing as well?

and they continually talk about the oldest and youngest people left

Black players are seriously underrepresented, but not a big fuss is made about it. Seriously it's
Phil Ivey, David Williams, Teddy 'The Iceman' Monroe, Dwite Pilgrim, Paul Darden... and now I am totally embarrassed, but blanking out on more.

I can easily name you more female poker players (ok, I might be slightly biased here ;-) ).

Nice Paul Darden reference. Maurice Hawkins, Freddie Ellis, Ray Davis, Will Givens, Andy Seth, Ronnie Bardah(I believe) are a few more that come to mind.

Can't believe we didn't think of the one player that checks both boxes (not Shirley Williams)

Yeah, I thought of that on my commute to work. And she was last woman standing. What ever happened to her? 'Hope' was her name? Ok, downloading the new show now. Very excited, but sad!

Just listened to this episode today and was happy to hear the shout out. Also listened to MJ's farewell episode and heard no mention of the golf tour getaway, which begs the question:

Did Mike play with the Gulyy balls?

Ah, of course. I was thinking of Hope Williams (mshopi), lol. Too much time in the limit scene.

I <3 Hope (been playing with her since 2005), but yeah, she never finished top 20 in the WSOP main event.
