Best opening intro by far

The Adrian Healey interview brought back fond memories of listening to WFNX when I was in school in the Boston/Cambridge area. I was there from 91 to 95, so I must have heard him at some point.

Hellmuth's gonna Hellmuth...

"Crazy Frenchman is Going to Cost Me My 14th Bracelet"

Level 24: 10,000-20,000, 3,000 ante

After Phil Hellmuth raised from the hijack and Davidi Kitai called from the cutoff, the flop came down {k-Spades}{2-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and things got interesting. Hellmuth checked, Kitai bet 48,000, and Hellmuth quickly check-raised to 100,000. Kitai pushed back with a three-bet to 155,000, and Hellmuth shot out of his chair in disbelief.

"Crazy Frenchman is going to cost me my 14th bracelet," Hellmuth said before folding. "You have no chance to win sir."

Someone at the table then asked Kitai if he had ever won a tournament, knowing full well he was a Triple Crown winner. Hellmuth was oblivious to that fact though as he interrupted, "Of course he's never won a tournament before."
And, after losing with A3 vs AK, A4 vs A6 and finally busting A2 vs A7:
Quote:
"Eight flips in a row I've lost," said Hellmuth as he exited the tournament area.

Thanks for getting Adrian on , it was nice to hear someone talking soccer on the podcast who knew what they were talking about. Though I was impressed that both Mike and Adam knew Cameroon 1990 and Roger Milla . Great story about the world cup wager too.

Props to Oscillator for finishing second in the $10K razz event. The guy is having a helluva WSOP. You know, just like he predicted.

After listening to his interview I didn't find him very likeable, but the guy backed up the talk with his second in the 10k razz, he was pretty funny in the pokernews video too

Some Pokercast anti-karma coming through this week also.

Heimiller takes down the Seniors Event despite being less "pettable" than Chainsaw.

Great episode. Listened to all 3+ hours.

I don't mean to sound like d*ck. I certainly don't think that I am anything special. I was just making observations. I appreciate that anyone bothered to listen to an interview with me at all, so thanks!

You predicted bracelets and we got a first and a second. So the mob has gotten restless. Lay low for a while and avoid anyone holding feathers and buckets of tar.

Spoiler:
(But seriously, nice runs.)

Oh, and...

Is one of the funniest things I've ever heard on this show.
