The (chemistry)* between Mike and Adam will be most difficult to replace IMO.

*replace "chemistry" with "banter" if you want to make it sound more manly.

I felt a physical "punch to the gut" when I heard your announcement, Mike. You have brought all of us so many hours of enjoyment it is very difficult to put into words what you mean to us. So, I'll just say thank you and hope to hear you back on the show from time to time. Whoever takes your place will probably be good but it just won't be the same. Kinda like when Brian Johnson joined AC/DC after Bon died or when Ashton Kutcher replaced Charlie Sheen on "3 1/2 Men".

Best of luck to you. Like an earlier poster said it was a wonder you've had the time to do the show as long as you have. With a full time job and a growing family though, you're probably doing the right thing. You will be missed. All the best to you and yours.

I am sad. Will totally miss you, Mike. Makes these few episodes during WSOP even more precious. Thanks for all the years you put in!

Holy crap there be spoilers itt.

I don't envy the new recruit trying to fill some big shoes.

Top five reasons mj is leaving:
5 to devote more time to his new hobby shinnying up barbed wire fences blackout drunk in the dead of night
4 made so much playing 'how much you got' he need never work again
3 to hunt down his IT guy, currently in hiding...
2 ...and then that Russian suckout artist maxim goolikhov or whatever it was
1 a cold moment of clarity at two am, hunched over a grainy live feed of two guys in hoodies playing razz.

+1

I've listened to the show for years, guys, and it's like meeting up with a couple of close mates for a pint every week. One of the things I liked best about the partnership is that you guys don't always agree on stuff and, in fact, often see things from different perspectives.

I think, in a way, that contributed to why the show was so genuinely welcoming from the first listen. Hugely in-depth and detailed, but never exclusive.

Thanks for providing us with your valuable time for so long, Mike. All the best for the future.

And looking forward with excited anticipation to hearing Adam and the new host taking the show onwards and upwards.

Correct, I am about 25 minutes into this episode. But I didn't see any posts mentioning it, so here I come. I can't wait another week until I get through 319 to see if you mention it, because by then I have forgotten it.
