Considered by many the greatest overall poker player in the world and perhaps of all time, Ivey joins the Pokercast from the Crown resort in Melbourne, Australia hours after the biggest live tournament score of his career, a $4m win in the Aussie Millions 250K Challenge. The guys cover many topics with Phil including being Phil Ivey, playing the biggest games in the world, his new business venture Ivey Poker and they get into some fun prop bet stories. The guys are also joined by Ultimate Poker product manager Chris Danek to discuss their launch of a new holdem variant called two-street poker. The guys are look at a report in the economist that break down gambling habits around the world. The Cardrunners strategy segments are back. Video coach Grant 'balbomb' Coombs kicks this off with a segment about calling 3-bets. David Sklansky returns with another installment of the Sklansky minute. SteveD joins the guys to talk about the new I'm Ready button on PokerStars and some news about synchronized breaks. Still very early in Episode 304, so I haven't heard the quote.

But he was in for 5 100k bullets and cashed out 550k. He was in for 750k in the 250k and cashed for 1,250k, so he made 500k there and 50k in the 100k.

Yes, that's what I thought but Mike said he lost 50k in the 100k.

I was under the impression Timex fired 3 bullets in the 250K. He sold some action for the second bullet in his thread but went to 3 and cashed on that one so either had most of his own action or had to sell it off on the fly when he busted bullet two.

Just listened to the Ivey interview. Ivey didn't know what Ryan Riess said about being the best player in the world. Love it. Nice interview. I got the impression he would have answered any question you asked. Were there any restrictions on what could be asked? Congratulations! I enjoyed the listen.

We personally chose not to bring up Crockfords because we know it is before the courts and he couldn't discuss an active case. On his end, he didn't really want to relive the FTP saga, so we just went with the softball question about people getting their money back. We don't really have any rapport/history with him at all so we had to take that into consideration.

He's actually super easy to talk with. I found him more laid back and conversational than expected. I nearly asked him what kind of candy he was eating during the interview, but couldn't pull the trigger.
