Not sure if any of this has been mentioned yet…

I was in the car and didn't go back to the point in the cast where MJ was getting his balls busted about making up words, so maybe I misheard them, but voluminous and dextrously are both real words, not made up by MJ. He may not have said them correctly, but they exist in the english language.

Regarding the whojedi incident and the union boss who posted about him…
Hoping someone who's more up to speed on the details can comment on the chronology; is it possible that the union boss caught wind of whojedi "making light" of the situation on twitter (re: the tweets regarding whojedi looking for work or whatever) and thought he was being a cocky SOB by indirectly conveying he was getting off of the crime without being "outed"?

Yeah, bad week for me. Lionel Hollins was on the Portland Trailblazers title team a couple years prior. How could I forget DJ or Paul Silas.

Did you say Raymer was an accountant?

Same with naïveté. Don't remember what episode it was, but the same thing happened. Not only is it a word, but I recall MJ even pronounced it right.

Obviously, it's always possible. But I'd say this is unlikely.

The theft took place in mid-December. A few days later, WhoJedi had his little Twitter "campaign" about the PokerStars job. Then three weeks later, on January 8, the Local 2121 president made his announcement on Facebook. If he were responding directly to the Twitter #hirewhojedi thing, he probably would have done something sooner.

EDIT: ah, I now get what you're saying. Had WhoJedi not done his public hire-me campaign, Billy might have chosen to communicate to his union via email or other private means rather than Facebook, right? Although I have no problem with Billy doing a Facebook announcement (as it also becomes something of a public service announcement), I have wondered why he didn't reach his union privately.

As for the previous poster who said the incident is not story-of-the-week material, this is probably true, but in reality it DID become the hottest topic in NVG. (I assume you're referring to the same WhoJedi incident, anyway.) Should it have been? Probably not — in fact, had some of the bigger outlets mentioned it as a lower-level news item, it might not have become the odd little whirlwind that it became. So much of the story was not the incident itself, but a) how few outlets looked into it and b) how many of WhoJedi's colleagues sniped at people who Tweeted or posted about it.

All that said, if you have been following Allen Kessler's side of the saga, you can see why people like Kevmath have been so short with him. Even I've found myself saying, "Chainsaw, you're absolutely right... now shut the hell up 'cause you're annoying me." And I like Chainsaw.

Did we ever get a picture of the "hooker"? It didn't change my view of him in the least, but I feel like we are entitled to that.

Thanx MJ. I was listening to the pokercast at my desk at work and for reference I tried to Google "Kimberly Lansing's Hymen". I was quickly fired.

Target the ones that don't realize straights count against the low. That should get you deep enough to have time to read the Stars page on the rules of the game.

Ok, here is my formal apology to you both, your knowledge of Elvis Costello clearly show's you're musical taste has depth, and you've improved the soundtrack. What can I say, I was wrong, sorry, won't jump in quite so quick in future, although you must admit parts of the first new theme tune were questionable.

Disclaimer: I have kids named Huckleberry and Atticus, but I actually don't find 'Rudolph' to be that bad a name. It's superior to the current trend of naming kids after old trades:

- Carter
- Harper
- Fletcher
- Keller
- Porter
- Sawyer
- Tucker

Unless of course it's Xylopola which is a wood seller iirc.

I eagerly look forward to meeting a little gravedigger. In the UK right now, approximately all the nice middle class boys are named after bible characters or old kings, and all the girls after flowers or characters from Downton abbey era period drama.

Party Poker sponsoring a Philly sports team makes sense. Its not that far from New Jersey and you get a lot of people who live and work over the border attending the games.

MJ, glad you're getting use so early in the year from the word-a-day calendar.

Mike, your free wifi comment is 100% backwards. The nicer the place, the more likely the wifi is going to cost extra. And don't even get me started on Vegas.

Glad you said this first. I actually had to look into this issue for work. The hotels/motels at lower price points offer free WiFi because that can be the difference between the customer going to Motel 6 or across the street to Days Inn. Clientele at higher price point hotels include a greater proportion of people who either have more disposable income or are business travelers who will be reimbursed by their employer, making them less sensitive to the added cost of WiFi, even at ridiculous rates like $12/day and up.
