Pokercast Episode 300 - Bacon, The Return of Bunner, and Special Guest Adzizzy

Live from the Two Plus Two Studios - This week Mike and Adam celebrate the 300th episode of everyone's favourite poker podcast. They're joined by Bacon, who comes on to discuss Mike and Adam's long time adoration, what it's like to be the only meat celebrity in poker, and how Bacon's participation in the new McDonald's Bacon Cheeseburger is a game changer. In a touching interview, the guys catch up with long time pokercast producer and friend James Bunner, where we learn that Bunner's long and silent absence from the program was not health related, but was in fact because Bunner was pursuing his newest dream, becoming a national Yahtzee champion. After years of not understanding why "small straights" don't count in Poker, Bunner reveals that he only recently discovered the game of Yahtzee while hanging out with "some really cool 8 year olds" (to quote Bunner) and realizing that his quest for Supernova paled in comparison to the joy of waffle crushing children at the classic dice game. Finally, Mike and Adam welcome back their biggest and greatest interviewee of the last 300 episodes, Matt "Adzizzy" Marafiotti. Matt recounts to the guys how great his interview was two years ago on the show, and gives the Pokercast an exclusive announcement that he will be joining Kanye West on an amazing new spoken word tour called "Kanyeezee and Adzizzy". The north american wide tour involves each superstar taking turns talking about how amazing they are, how misunderstood they are, and how many women bleached their *******s in the last month for them. Steve D of Pokerstars joins the show from the Isle of Man to share a laugh with the guys about the recent revelation that PS has a $200 million marketing budget used to pay other poker rooms to **** their own players over, thereby making Pokerstars shine even brighter by comparison. Steve D gives a special tip of the hat to Lock Poker's efforts in the past year.

So let me see if I got this right. The nosebleeds have its own etiquette "rules" and standards for how to act towards the other players who are apart of this elitist club? Yet the goal of the game is to win money versus other contendors, who in the heat of the battle are adversaries by default. Therefor any thing that is not against the rules of poker nor Pokerstars, should be up to the individual player to play as long as he chooses without being thrown under the high stakes bus headed for slanderville. Believe me, I hate getting hit and run as much as the next guy, and at my stakes there is no shortage of action, but there are no rules for how long you must be seated, or how many hands you are required to play (I use the "call an hour before you leave" at my live game) I have a slight understanding for how annoying it must be to lose a couple big pots to a hyper aggro player who got the better end of the flips, and knowing that in the long run you will get it back, but the guy leaves before you get the chance to win your money back. But I also think that a player like Isildur would use such tactics to tilt his opponents.

Idk...I just thought WCGrider was alittle harsh on him, and maybe he has right on his side while doing so. This being said, Mr. Polk is one of my favorite players from high stakes, and great entertainment as an interviewee.

By the way, Adam's confusion about the 24-hour delay must be a leftover from the first N9. They taped the table, then ran the usual edited highlight reel the following day.

It seemed like Mike genuinely thought the name of Frank Kassela's campaign website was a bold move. This makes me wonder how they name them in Canada. In the US, it is pretty much either
[candidate name]for[office].com or
[candidate name][year of election].com

What....? Rough day? All outa your favorite crispy whale fluke snacks? Four times you said that word in one sentence. Been reading Fifty Shades of Grey? Frustrated and taking it out on our hosts?

Not having the big cable bundle I am forced to sit here and wait for WSOP.com to refresh every minute in order to find out who's aggro'ing who on the final table, hence the pause in the action packed <----(sarcasm)updates to peruse the Pokercast forum only to find yet another rehash of that tired complaint.

Listen up Lars. MJ loves the game and it comes through loud and clear on every cast. The uhhs, the Norms, the mispronunciations, these just add more colour. <---- (and yeah, in Canada we spell it correctly)

Damn! JC is down to 11 mill! Sigh.... ESPN says TSN was to broadcast on a time delay beginning at 10PM. It was BS. Well, back to refreshing the page and imagining the happenings whilst you well-heeled folk watch it on a 54 inch screen.

Most people in the NVG sweat thread are rooting against Farber, and a few have wondered why. That he turned down the PokerCast should be all the reason we need.

That's the same as Nancy Pelosi refusing (initially) to appear on the Colbert Report. She eventually did, but only because she saw that the Colbert Bump might be the real thing.

Or almost the same.

True, true. Hopefully we won't get a winner who won't appear on the Pokercast.
