lol

Phil Laak was EPIC. By far the best show ever!
Ashman was probably a decent show in him self, but what Im going to remember about this show is for sure the 2 hours before he came on.

Even though it was an entertaining show, Phil took me as a much smarter guy than Ive previously given him credit for.

Sorry for giving your guys crappy critique after the Chiren episode, not bad to take the worst episode ever (imho) and shortly after follow it up with the most epic podcast ever.
I can't remember the last time I laughed this hard.
Thank you guys for an awsome show!!

Phil Laak's bracket to the final 8 at the NBC Heads-Up is ridiculous with Juanda, Durrrr, Mercier, Negreanu, Sexton and DeKorver. If he gets through that, the PC karma has set a new standard.

Guys, this is easily the best show youve ever had. I'm a big Phil Laak fan.

Great job!

SPECIAL SKLANSKY QUESTION: What does it mean when you wave to someone after you cut them off?

Nice studio.

Can Adam or Bunner show Mike where the cough button is? They may need to have a signal so he knows when to clear his throat. I've listened for years and have much love for Mike, in a non gay way, but the phlegmy voice........

More importantly, is anyone else having a problem d/l'ing the episode from the rss feed page? I only get one hour from that d/l'd.

ok I understand that David skalansky is a genius. But does anyone else get the impression that he is going senile? I base this on his latest Skalansky minute. WTF was that? nonsense about a sorry hand gesture. I'm pretty sure that if you and he have an iota of rational thought you can convey your apology without using words. Not only did this skalansky minute not pertain to poker at all, but it also barely made any sense. I guess if your David Skalansky then anything you record is gold! It felt like I was listening to that crazy old bum on the street corner who claims he could talk to god. "yea sure pal the world is ending, here's a gesture for you, and let me give you a hint it doesn't mean I'm sorry"

Laak defeats Juanda in the first round. Pokercast Karma off to a good start, gets Phil Gordon in the 2nd round
after Gordon beats Durrrr in the first round.

Damn...are you telling me I chose to stop by on the wrong week?

One of the best shows. I mean not to look a gift horse in the... but it's too bad you guys didn't improvise outside the regular ~2.5 hours, even though I'm sure you knew the interviews, esp. Laak's, were grooving. But yeah frames and stuff.

Great show. Loved the Phil Laak sperm bank story! The best anecdotes since the Haralabos Voulgaris story of the girl with big hands.

wow. i finally got to listen to this week's podcast. wow!

Laak interview by far one of the best and most enjoyable you guys have ever done, so nice to have an in-studio guest!

keywords for this episode:

Adam: Felching! ok...so my boss was happy, he got his company car cleaned for free as i spit out my coffee all over the dashboard laughing so hard when i heard this...

MJ: hell with the irate woman who wanted the password, i have been listening for a year now and am a Full Tilt player, but i love your show so much that i had to finally load my cash on to Stars so that i could feel like part of the family, so far i have really enjoyed the invitational and the pokercast league, really great group of people and i think that is a tip of the hat to you, Adam, Johnny and crew...i honestly never had any interest on playing on Stars but you guys sold me based solely on great community here and i think i will stick around - Stars has made a great decision in supporting your podcast.

Lovejar - yes.

Phil Ivey - "wins all the money" ...yes more coffee spit out all over the car.

Ante to Death - isn't this what Doyle called a "Broomcorn"?

degen ****** gambler - nuff said.

Laak mentions how he loves "I am on a Boat" by Lonely Island, i will not link it here cause i am not sure what proper etiquette is but go to youtube and search this song and find the US Navy version...nuff said. you will thank me later.

Phil Laak drinking game - take a shot for everytime he says "I forgot what the question was..."

Phil is now easily my favorite poker player, a lot of the folks you interview are interesting from a strategy perspective but often lack personality, this guy has it in spades. No other interview have I enjoyed so much other than hearing anyone interview Tommy Angelo who has helped my poker playing immensely from his teachings and ideas. Phil just seems like the kinda guy you want to hang out with and drink some beers and shoot the ****, just funny, interesting and genuinely a human being that happens to be a good poker player not some multitable robot! In short, it made me feel like there is a place for all us normal guys in the poker world and gave me some hope to not give up on playing when things have been going so rotten.

lastly, Sklansky minute on road rage, easy solution, i listen to Pokercast and end up lauging so much that i never get road rage, seriously.

great work! thanks so much.

quick question: why didn't you show Laak the Moran-Soundboard? (might've been epic with him already being awake for like 70 hours)
03-06-2010 , 09:52 PM
When I Phill said the words love jar ,I spit beer all over my fn desk.It was sooo worth it ,great show guys .
