U did, however, knock out several players, not the least of which was a guy named "ra1se." You were sitting to my direct right for about the first 5hrs of the tourney, and I had to watch as you KO'd player, after player, after player. I sat patiently, waiting for good spots to stack you, as you were calling players down suuuuper light, and you managed to evade my every move and it was beyond frustrating! LOL AT and I flopped top 2, and you gave me little to no action. KK in the hole & you called my big raise pre, but then shut down and folded on the turn, I think Flopped a set & got nothing out of you. But I saw u call another guy's river shove w/nothing but ace-high on a board something like 88442, but he only had K-high & u busted him. It was rily gross. I chipped up significantly thru you, but I NEVER got the double-up that I was waiting for, which would have propelled me into a top 10 spot at almost any point in the tourney. *sigh* So that's where all the frustration came from. I only had about 35k and watched in horror as you eliminated the last guy, chipping up to about 160k+, becoming 2nd in chips...and then I got moved to another table with about 20-something players left. I literally screamed, "Noooooooo!" when I got moved, because I felt I had lost the PERFECT seat in the tourney, without ever having gotten a shot to double up. I ended up going out in 17th, just slightly behind u. But, I would like to say gg and that it was...interesting watching u play. Sorry if I made you feel unwelcome. No hard feelings.
Certainly not unwelcome, come play the PCL X

Unfortunately, I was the guy with the aces. MJ also had wished me luck, however, he did so in TinyChat. I think the obvious lesson from this is if you ask MJ to wish you luck:

The Twitter > Table Chat > Tiny Chat

No hard feelings at all, baptzmoffire. I'm sorry I tilted you so much, although if given the oppourtunity, I would do it again.

I've only been playing for 3 years. No books, no lessons, and the guy who does the strategy minute on the podcast might as well be speaking Russian.
Not hard to tell, both from my playing style, and the fact that I blew such a big stack. I was very angry with myself Sunday night, but Hubby kept telling me that I should be happy with the result considering my lack of experience, and to keep trying to learn.

*I can hear y'all now...."Oh No"!!!!*

Anyway, my cards ran great (duh)......what can I say.
I was happy to be able to hold out so long with such a large field of fine, experienced players!

Nice shout out to you at the end of the podcast!

Can I ask a question?
"But I saw u call another guy's river shove w/nothing but ace-high on a board something like 88442, but he only had K-high & u busted him. It was rily gross."

Was it gross for me to have called his shove with A-high, or gross for him to have shoved with K-high?
I didn't think he had hit......

Thank you tglynn!

I'll look into it. If the schedule works with mine, I might just try it.

You've all been very welcoming.

Ah, about that. I remember that hand. I haven't seen the hand history, but I believe he had raised pre, bet flop, & shoved I think it was the turn, actually & u just snap-called like you had the nuts, even though it was--again, if I remember correctly--for almost all your tournament life. Afterward, he said something along the lines of, "Not sure how you can call there. I mean, you had nothing. But nice hand, I guess." What was rily gross, for me, was...I had been waiting all day to get a quality hand to bust you or double thru you, and the 4ish times that I actually had the goods to do it, I got relatively little action from u. But, on the other hand, you called that guy--and sooooo many others--down when u had some pretty weak holdings, and I was waiting for u to do the same thing with me. Somehow u always managed to get away from it though. Over probably about 200 hands, I never got the action that the other players at the table got from you. That was all I meant. So, Cliffs: You never paid me off like I thought u had the potential to. (It was an AMAZING run to watch, btw, just so u know. I've almost never seen someone on such a heater. I kept watching you play big pots against solid players, and just keep hitting and hitting and hitting. It was actually pretty funny, cuz it wasn't happening to me. The turn & river streets were verrrrry kind to u that day. LOL) I'll try to find that HH when I get back to my laptop.

Interesting!
It was all happening too fast for me to notice that comment.

So, the other player commented that he didn't understand why I would call with nothing, when he also had nothing. Hmmm.

Why would he raise with nothing?
Why would he expect me to have nothing?
The way I see it is that he was trying to bluff me, and I didn't believe him, but thinking back to the hand, I remember saying out loud as I called his raise: "You didn't hit anything".
