Great, great show, many many sads to see MJ leave, gl in any future endeavors. As for Adam, thx for not shying away from the task. Lookin' forward to many more years of podcast fever

My favorite MJ moment was his quick story of being drunk and playing like 1 hand of 5-5 plo at the Bahamas and doubling up right before the game was closed.

Poker is suppose to be fun and no one understands this better than Mike.

I have two girls the same age, can't imagine what would ever make you think of having to retire!

Obviously Bunner or Galfonds girlfriend are only acceptable replacements.

I think I'm correct on macheté - MJ (Episode 150)

Then the time when Adam was thinking Kathy Liebert has a great twitter, and that her twitter is entertaining and Mike and Bunner were doubled over in laughter. I killed myself laughing at how hard they were laughing.

The uh's. Of course that too.

I'm going to miss the dynamic that Mike & Adam have had over all these episodes and whoever is going to take over won't replace what they had, but instead, will create a new dynamic.

That said, a BIG thank you to Mike for all his work over the years.

Mike and Adam, you guys have been awesome putting out such a quality product year after year. Thank you both for that. MJ - best of luck in whatever you are up to next! You will be missed and I will certainly look forward to your future appearances on the show. Adam - thanks for not throwing in the towel and deciding to carry on with the show.

Oh and btw, did you guys spill beer on the sound board or something? I miss weekly beratings from Joan Rivers and reminders that Kathy Liebert has a great twitter.
dont remind em about Joan Rivers. she's almost as bad as the kardashians and doesnt deserve to be on tv

Ive listened to every 2p2 pokercast and it won't be the same without Mike.

clearly though there needs to be a 'BEST OF' show or shows to showcase Mike.

Wouldn't every show be a showcase of Mike?

I've enjoyed the PokerCast for years. I've been thinking that this year has been a long stretch of really good shows -- the guests have been great, the format changes have been good, and the guys have been killing it every week. You're allowed to have a bad one every once in a while, but you've not taken the opportunity. Mike, we'll definitely miss you.

Best of luck.

We'll miss you MJ

I've heard you voice more often then my mother's in the last couple of months.

Congrats to Mike Johnson on your retirement! Thank you for years of great poker podcasting. You finally forced me to register on twoplustwo after years of lurking to say thank you.

As for a replacement try Phil Galdond 's girlfriends! She was great during his interview and she didn't even have a headset on.

THE KING IS DEAD, LONG LIVE THE QUEEN!

Whussy pipped? You can't quit. Hire a researcher if you need to spend more time with the boss and the little charmers. Geez.... <-------- kidding

TY MJ

I thought you guys were joking. It took half a dozen Twitter references to spur me to look this up. Um, what will Mike do with his Twitter handle?
06-10-2014 , 03:40 AM
Nooooooo, I feel like I know you both so well after listening over the years. Great duo, won't be the same again. Well done Mike on an amazing run on the show, only podcast I've listened to religiously

I'm always the guy at work who writes crap stuff like "good luck and all the best" in folks leaving cards when others put it so much better.Anyway good luck and all the best to MJ and thanks for all the hard work you've put into the show over the years.

I use to listen to the Pokercast just to get the invitational password (I would just fast forward it :-) but as the time passed I stopped playing the invitational and looked forward to listening to the podcast each week. You'll be missed MJ! (but not your shi*ty pronunciations)

So sad over this. Mike is a favorite. One of the keys to the how is that the two of you were friends talking about poker in a mostly intelligent manner. It's a fun show and I'll miss Mike a lot.

have been enjoying the show for years, thanks for the entertainment. will be sad to see its current incarnation die but will glad its not going away completely
06-11-2014 , 01:26 PM
Mike, thank you for all of the entertaining hours.

I believe I have listened to every Pokercast. I have listened to most them while grinding away. This is often my best session of the week. I hope Mike's leaving will not change the 2+2 Pokercast run-good karma.

While the amazing chemistry between Mike and Adam can never be replaced, I might as well jump on the Phil Galfond girlfriend for co-host band wagon.

You did a great job with the show Mike and have listened to countless hours of you talking over the years, you will be missed

Hi Everyone:

I'm getting to this thread a little late but wanted to say that Mike has been a terrific host and a great friend, and we'll miss him very much. Hopefully, he'll drop in as either a guest or a guest host on occasion. And of course, we wish him and his family all the best in the future.

Best wishes,
Mason

Thank you so much Mike, and Adam too! I've listened to every episode including the bigpoker ones, come to think of it that's a lot of hours. Sometimes I still get smals flashbacks of to your shows when I walk in places I've listened to your stuff years ago. After getting tired of tv tourney poker some years ago a lot of the guests have been unknown to me but every episode has still def been a good listen. Great banter and chemistry, and as Adam sometimes mentions the amount of work you put into each episode must be huge. Thank you and gl!
