Tough spot on the river Tough spot on the river

Hey guys, ran into this spot in a pretty tough ring game last month, thought i'd get your opinions on it.

$1/$2 Full Ring game (Stack about $400ish)

I'm UTG with A-2 and just limp for $2. 5 players come along and the button (liked to raise in position and in over-limped pots) raises to $16 total. Big Blind (Pretty good player who was pretty deep and not afraid to move her chips around) calls, I call and one other player calls. Pot $73

Flop: 5-3-7

I check my gutshot and nut flush draw, guy behind me checks and dealer C-Bets $40, Big Blind calls and i call, guy behind me folds. Pot $193

Turn: 5

Big Blind checks and I check (assuming the turn changed nothing) and the button contines the aggression and bets out $65, Big Blind calls and I call.
Pot $388

River: A

Big Blind immediately bets out $275 (effectively putting me all in) and button looks disgusted and mutters something like "that was MY move!" and I tank.

Now I know the button isn't calling and even if he over calls I figure I have him beat but the Big Blind's huge bet on the end's got me stumped.

Thoughts guys?

You played every street as horribly as you could. Your hand was never worth more than 1BB.

Everything is fine for live poker, now call and expect to lose often, but win sometimes.

Meh, I don't like the PF limp, especially given OP's read of an active BTN that likes to raise. And of course we will be OOP, plus we will have no FE in situations like the one depicted.

move up where they respect your check calls imo

The mistake was PF, only play a hand like this IP with lots of fish around

As played, i would be tempted to c/r a large amount (or maybe even valueshove if you think you will get called by worse draws or even overpairs where your ace still counts as an out)

fold preflop, if in a position where you can place A2s raise. as played just bet the flop, as played turn is a check, as played fold the river.
