Too Passive or Just Right? Too Passive or Just Right?

Villain is the BB and I have him at 10/5/3.5 over 500 hands and a note of "nit".

Sometimes I 3bet preflop and sometimes just call. I thought the CO was a weak player, so I wanted to see a flop against them.

Poker Stars $0.50/$1 No Limit Hold'em - 8 players - View hand 311759
The Official DeucesCracked.com Hand History Converter

MP1: $20.00
MP2: $125.55
CO: $39.25
Hero (BTN): $126.20
SB: $22.10
BB: $100.00
UTG: $114.60
UTG+1: $76.80

Pre Flop: ($1.50) Hero is BTN with T T
4 folds, CO raises to $3, Hero calls $3, 1 fold, BB calls $2

Flop: ($9.50) 7 6 2 (3 players)
BB checks, CO checks, Hero bets $5, BB calls $5, CO folds

Turn: ($19.50) T (2 players)
BB bets $10, Hero calls $10

River: ($39.50) Q (2 players)
BB bets $18, Hero calls $18

Should I raise the river? Villains hand is most likely a flush right?

I was thinking villain often has flush here and if I raise I only fold hands I beat.

Bet more on the Flop I say $8 You may be looking at 8-9 also. Though the turn is a scare and good card I like how you played it. Raising is only going to get you a fold or a re-raise

Agreed. Bet either 8 or full pot on flop. A raise on the turn is only going to induce a fold or a re-raise, putting you in a tough spot. Call or fold is your only 2 options on the river...raising there against that opponent is bad imo given your read.

I'd note "nit" to. Most 10/5 players are total spewtards.

I think you can r/f vs. this guy.

Villain has 77 for a lower set and I win.

you have to slow down when straights and flushes are likely. if you choose to raise the river it should be against a person you can fold to if he plays back at you.
