When you first came to FR it seems like I remember you as one of the tougher regs, but when I noticed your stats the other day I was wondering if I'd just remembered it all wrong. Perhaps ^^^^^ explains it. A run for SNE would srsly mess with both your game and your head! Regardless, best of luck to you in w/e route you choose...
LOL, having been one for a very long time as well as having many friends who still are, I have to say that it is most def wife-dependent. In defense of yours though, I'm guessing she has plenty of other great qualities.

The third live hand I played today (like literally I had just sat down at the table) I lost like 190bb in the following way...
$2/4 is high stakes here. If some guy in the cardroom asks you where you are playing and you tell him you are playing a table higher than 100nl, he will probably refer to you as a 'high roller'.
So, I buy in for 250bb. 3 handed. My 3rd hand. I'm BTN with A

. Villain has a monster stack, he clearly had been there all night possible >24 hours.
I go 4bb, SB folds, villain makes it 18bb, I tried to 4bet to 80bb but I put the chips in in 2 different stacks like a nano-second apart and the kid goes "ng ba blah blah blah string bet!" And the dealer is like "it's a string bet sir." Dealer asks me which stack went in first, one stack is sig smaller than the other. The kid keeps saying that it's the smaller stack and despite the "english only" house rule, everyone is speaking Tagalog only. I don't understand anything people are saying except the occasional "string bet" pops out (i'm the only white guy in the room). Eventually floor comes over and tells me that I'm forced to make the minimum 4bet - like, not the smaller stack of the two but the literal 32bb min 4bet.
Flop (64bb) QJ8 . Kid checks, I bet 42bb. He calls.
Turn (148bb) 3 I pause for like maybe a solid 25 seconds. The kid looks at me and goes "AZeKING mt KING of Clubs". At this point there are about 15 people watching the hand behind the red-tape, I don't understand anything anyone is saying but I'm feeling very self-conscious.
I bet 115bb. He calls.
River (378bb) 2
He checks and sense I've got no FE obv, I decide to save what little I have left. He says "I knewn I got u!" He flips A
8 , and gets started in a Tagalog convo with like 3-4 people from the 'audience.'
It was pretty much all downhill from there for the next 5 hours.
