reading couple of the small stakes guys blogs and wondering, how many of u guys are grinding 100 nl to skip 200nl and go straight to 400 nl?

They just want to avoid Ajven, dymarko or micula213...

For example, when I am playing in NL400+, if Kelisitaan is on my table, I instant-leave. They can't find a table w/o these players, so easy shoot in 400.

I'm either quiting or going part time at my job. Give me advice. I'm 23 and make $9.5/hr at a low end office job. This is my 2nd year of not going to school b/c of not knowing what I wanted to do and then financial restrictions. I want to go back next fall for a generic business degree but wouldnt be able to keep the job if i do. Current monthly expenses are ~$1600/mo.

I'm winning 2.9ptbb/100 over 165k hands at stars from nl25-nl200, 125k hands are at nl100. I play ~40k hands/mo. 16tbls = 1000hands/hr So I should be able to play at least 25-30k hands per week. I'd have 4k online and 2k to put in a savings account and sit on.
The only reasons to not quit altogether is fear and I'm living at home helping support my mom. Her response was to do it if i think i could.

keep working/playing until you have 6-10k in the bank separate from your br then go pro... also maybe go to school while being a 'pro' and then you get a solid back up plan while making more money

and remember that w/ bonus ive been making ~$2500/mo the past 4 months from poker which covers my monthly expenses only playing 40hrs /mo

I play largely as my only source of income and it's only recently that I stopped cashing out 3-5k/month and got a 5 figure roll again that I'm no longer stressed when I play.

My monthly nut is about $1600 as well, but I tend to spend way more than that. Having 100+ buyins for a level when you live off of it takes a ton of the sting away.

100bis ftw. esp w the suicidal game ive been playing. 4k isnt enough online. try to have at least 10k+ stars imo for 100nl and above if u plan on not working and living a stress free life.

br management is one of my strong points. maybe the only one.
