I haven't seen Jolohu online in ages, or does he play 1/2? He was pretty good from what I remember.
Looking up Captain Irish's graph wouldn't make me happy either. He can die for all I care. I also hate about 3 or 4 other players who I won't name. Oh and AdmiralTwill can suck it too (for serious).

Question, I've never been into politics and never voted. With poker, I finally have something I care enough about and is also being debated and looked at. Reading Eureka's blog, it made it seem like the democratic party is the way to go for pro online poker. I would of thought the republican party with less government would be the correct choice.

Basically just asking, if your only concerns were about the state of online poker and it's longevity in America, which party is right for you?

Disclaimer: I don't vote, just curious.

You are correct that democrat's are more likely to vote in line with poker legislation etc. You are also correct in that Republicans/Conservatism "should" be in favor of allowing online poker because of them being in favor of less government/personal freedoms etc. However, the political parties no longer actually act in accordance with what they are supposed to stand for. Instead they act in a way that best serves them getting reelected. So in the case of republican's, they cater to the Christian conservative base that see gambling as immoral etc.

As a life long conservative, it pains me to say this, but if you are voting purely for which party would best benefit online gambling, then you have to vote Democrat. If I thought they had any chance of winning at any level, then I would vote Libertarian who are like extreme conservative's and would be the most likely to allow online gambling.

Yes, it would be the democrats. You are right though, if the republican party was anything like the small government party we learn about in school when differentiating between the parties, they would probably be the ones to vote for.
However, the republicans of today are highly highly influenced by religious conservative views. therefore, it is not a matter of government interference, it is a matter of god gave us a set of rules and he said gambling is bad so therefore we will adamantly fight against online poker.
Its all very sad really. Both parties are giant pussies. The democrats just happen to be more aligned with me on this issue
