@ponty

"grim you, hop seats (thats if i can even be bothered starting tables any more), god sit and sit out and back in as and when the fish does. I don't care anymore"

I just fail to see how any of this is unethical or bad for the games or whatever it is that sets you off so much.

I don't know if it's even possible, but the one thing along these lines that I could actually see as being unethical would be choosing a seat specifically to get the button, playing just one hand, sitting out, and repeating the process elsewhere.

really, u honestly can't see anything inherently wrong with it at all? and u can't see why stuff like seat hopping is bad for the games? not sure if ur being serious.
02-04-2012 , 01:10 AM
its obviously bad for the games when you all insta-sitout when i'm leaving a table. i'm starting to get it...
02-04-2012 , 01:13 AM
def serious

seat hopping could alert fish to their fish status i suppose but in my experience the good seats fill up so fast that there isn't much opportunity for changing seats. In my limited experience, definitely not common enough to matter.

And i also totally understand people not being comfortable playing hu, but they're super comfortable playing 3 handed when it suits them... it's all poker, there's not a huge amount of difference.

And yeah i know my comparison wasn't the greatest to say the least but there are obviously some extremely grey/shady areas that people exploit at the tables anyway... I mean, it's not illegal to walk up to someone and continuously fart on them, it would however be considered a dick move. And that's all i'm doing, stating the obvious that 90% of players are total dicks at the tables and it would be nice if the general consensus of people treated it as such. In a similar way to how smoking in general is becoming less acceptable in modern society due to a collective sense of it being wrong (while not illegal... I also know that many people will disagree with this part, but smoking is definitely becoming less popular and less socially acceptable than even 10 years ago etc).... it's similar to what happened with drink driving, drink/drive limits were set in the uk in the late 60's.... but it wasn't clamped down upon until much later when it became far more socially unacceptable.

Haha, the bumhunting is annoying but part and parcel of play i realise (the grimming, sitting out and in as the fish do and seat hopping etc is really really ****ing lame). I do find it incredibly frustrating though having the same people god seat every single table you start before even a hand has been played, while not helping to start any tables themselves. Even if it's with other people i don't care if it's with me or not, even if they're just sat waiting for someone to join them.

As it is slugant u seem pretty classy at the tables, so you get no hate from me and obvuosly i understand table breaking when a fish busts etc... that happens. As for why it bugs me? who knows, I definitely dislike a lot of attitudes from poker players in general though, this is probably just an extension of me judging others by my own standards (which in itself could be the wrong thing to do).
u cant see how its bad for the gamess,,,,,?
