I'm glad to see Spanish players gone since they were 99% shortstacking POS scumbags, but I'm hoping/praying that Germany doesn't do the same thing. Seems more than half the fish I see are from there.

the main reason its bad because other countries will see it and began the same thing, belgium, italy, spain france... with US players banned, how long till the whole of europe is regulated?

Regulated doesn't mean segregated. Ultimately, I think it's inevitable that all countries that are currently segregated will all become part of the main player pool again at some point.

No, it won't. Much of Europe is anticipated to be regulated in the near future I believe, but it's up to the segregated countries themselves to decide whether they want to re-enter the main pool. They receive payment proportionate to the amount of volume/rake generated by their players, so it makes sense for their players to be part of the main pool (all else being equal) as it will generate far more income.

Stars anticipate UK to be regulated soon (next couple of years) but we won't be segregated (or taxed I wouldn't have thought.)

Pretty sure they won't risk the backlash here in the UK by trying to re-tax gambling. It was taxed until about 10 years ago - I remember having to 'gamble' on your tax at the bookies. The tax was 5% but you could choose whether to pay it on your stake or on your winnings.

Does anybody know if the US pool will be segregated if/when they come back online?

****ing Christ. Not being taxed on gambling winnings is amazing for a professional, but 5%? I would love taxes here to only be 5%. anyone who makes good money is paying 25-40%.

Same here, self-banned since then.

It wasn't 5% as mentioned previously, it was 9% (and before that it was 10%) Each time you placed a bet you had the choice of paying the 9% on top of your stake or you could have it deducted from any winnings.

I have been self-banned on Stars for 4 years. Last month I asked for it to be put back on. I e-mailed them back the next day to ask to be self-banned again.
