come on...they have a chance to finish above .500 this year. To me after 17 years it is the playoffs. You have to understand, the bar was set so low for so long.

If you think 20 months is equivalent to 200 hands, not sure what to tell ya. He is surely beyond expectation in that stretch, but he's still outpreformed the market by a ton over the past decade and is very very well respected in the trading community.

At least admit that being up 115%/yr isn't even close to sustainable and that he's probably running hot. Maybe a better analogy would be a guy's played 50k hands and is running at 10ptbb, he must be a poker god!

But yeah months don't even matter if his volume is low. Talking about "months" is such a meaningless number when talking about sustainable winrates.

Oh also there's a bias in that the guys who run hot are the ones who get the attention. So for example if one specific person won at 10ptbb over 50k hands it would likely at least indicate he is a winner. But if we take the sample of all poker players and assume that since the best winrate from all those players was 10ptbb over 50k hands that's not even enough to show he's a winning player imo.
