I always have avatars on! I thought he had his own avatar because he was a CR coach... as CR/FTP are affiliated now... well not really but they offer training through the store and have "educational" tables.

then play less than 13 tables while you're still adjusting to the new limit.

Wow cheating bastards Uruguay beat Ghana on penalties.
Extremely dramatic end to the game for those who missed it.
Ghana attack in the final seconds of extra time, score is 1-1. Ball is cleared off the line once! Twice! Handball! Red card! Clear penalty! It is the very last kick off the game... and the Ghana forward misses. UNNNNbelievable. Of course Uruguay then have the psychological edge in the penalty shootout, and they do proceed to win it. But, like a commentator said, "...at the same time, grudging respect to the cheating little sods. It takes a real streak of evil to win like this".

Had to be Suarez too. He really looks the type.

Real shame for Ghana.

It was an awesome ending. I fell asleep during the Brazil game (and missed a good one I'm hearing) and woke up last few minutes of the final extra time period.

if your not cheating your not trying hard enough.....in sports anyways

The ineresting thing is that penalty kicks are 100% in shooters hands (feet). If he executes the keeper can't do anything. Of course a good keeper helps your odds but it comes down to who chokes.

So much going on in such a short time frame. Can't believe he missed the pk...

If you aren't cheating you're not trying hard enough, and it ain't cheating unless you're caught.

But that is football for you. Pain, tragedy, suffering, emptiness, injustice, punctuated by rare moments of pure bliss. I think I will have to start wearing makeup and cut myself while listening to Bauhaus.

I agree. I think practically anyone (with an ounce of foot-eye coordination) could score the vast majority of the time even versus the best goalies the world in practise.

When you have a huge crowd in a stadium, with several countries of eyes on you via over the various TV channels too, then you have the necessary conditions to make it a tad more interesting.

I remember a few years ago there were debates on english forums about introducing replays like in NFL.
Any ideas if this is close to being implemented? I'd love to see it for big decisions only, when play is stopped. For example a penalty and/or red card is awarded, ref takes the two minutes he'd otherwise spend debating with the players on the pitch and goes to check a replay. Not a big deal and would cut down on bull**** ref decisions SO much, not to mention artistic diving which makes the game a joke IMO

We were discussing that last night while we were playing it at the hotel...fun live game imo

I made a post last year about reffing which crosses over to soccer. Refs in the NFL were constantly under barrage about "getting involved in the game". Let the players play, don't allow the ref to decide the outcome on pivotal calls or plays. The you have the same players feigning fouls, acting, flopping, etc in order to "draw fouls".

So in response, being a HS Varsity ref myself, I advocate stiff penalties for these actions. Someone fakes getting hit or tripped in soccer, 5 min misconduct and go one man down. You don't want refs, fine. Do without and go total eye in the sky. I can say with certainty I was known for and had the reputation for calling 'unsportsmanlike' when a center flopped or faked taking a charge. Bang'em up with a T!

Handing out T's in basketball games early seems to clean up the play and keep the coaches on the bench, FTW. Then when I have their team again later in the season, they'll even mention it to me in the captains meeting and the game runs sm-o-o-o-o-o-th. Thing is, you need to be fair and make the calls on both sides for the coaches to stay off your back. That's all coaches want, fair, impartial and a working knowledge of the Rules.

On an unrelated note, I too am running as bad as I ever have in what seems to be every one of the oh so many ways it is possible to run bad. Posted is obligatory EV chart, but there is of course so much more, including all the bad play along the way that is entirely my fault.

So, between the downswing, cashing out, and transferring money to other sites, I am forced to bid a (hopefully) brief adieu to 200nl and shall be reacquainting myself with 100nl.

Hi 100nl, may our relationship be brief. FML.
i'm in the same damn boat...although i managed to get there without the massive -AIEV that you have experienced. at nl100 trying to build the roll back up. i hate bankroll building. takes so much patience. ~yuck~

gl on a short stint.

07-02-2010 , 08:02 PM
lol they werent like omg this dood just totally powned the F outta that guy type spots. i mostly just held over him, but a couple times i got him to put more money in the pot then he should have. one time i had nuts and he clearly had nothing, and i made the standard lol 1/5th pot blocker donk on river and he potted over and obv folded to my shove for only like 100 more into 300. so that felt good.

It always feels nice to play so bad HU at a new table with some guy, get outplayed but luckbox a few stacks...then get challenged to HU and decline.

Later look up PTR to see it was a HU guy bumhunting FR starting tables
07-02-2010 , 08:07 PM
I ended up playing HU today while shot taking again when a table broke against a fishy player. I lost all my monies of course, I never learn.
