yeah, 99 most of the time. Is a nit with CO's stats ever slow playing the flop with A5?

Call, he can't have 44/56/A5 in his range (at least a good proportion of the time) and a 11/9 is not to say that he can't be overplaying TT+ here. If he at least has TT-AA like 20% of the time he takes his line, you are more than priced in.

what 11/9 EVER has 1010+ here?

i would be shocked if villain had any less than 99 here. that said if you think there's the slightest chance he can play the NFD+overs or TT-QQ this way then it could be a call. but i rly doubt this is the case - fold.

i've seen some of these guys play KK+ like this

Wow nitrings gonna nitring. Since when does nit preflop stats translate to nit postflop tendencies, especially in this spot? and lol @ saying players can't EVER do something with a certain hand/range. Way to approach poker with a completely flawed mindset.

Notice in my analysis that I'm NOT suggesting that he is playing TT+ like this 100% of the time, we only need him to play TT+ like around 10% of the time to be even money (99 is 3 combos, TT-AA is 30 combos)

Why the **** would we fold here? We only know he's tight pf. Post could be any number of things. Overpairs, bare flush draws, A2cc/A9cc, other combo draws, etc. Could be any two cards if he knows you're thinking about folding sets here.
05-08-2011 , 12:55 AM
I can't believe anybody would even consider folding a set here. Way too tight.

Don't you love it when the nit is playing his one hand range?

I still call tho

If your even considering folding sets...you have a huge leak in your game....the ONLY goal when you have flopped a set is to get ALL the chips in the middle....will you loose sometime...sure...but tap the table ...say nice hand ...and reload when those RARE hands occur.
