This is basically what happens to me 100% of the time when I play nits. I have a set, they have a higher set. I have KK in LP, they have AA. Notch another a fraction of a BB onto their WR. It's so pathetic; if it wasn't for their uncanny ability to put huge coolers on people who actually know what they're doing, the nits would be busto.
Very true, and it is frustrating, nits are nut-magnets.
Folding here and assuming he checked back the turn with aces feels like playing on such a low level of poker. I mean if he was actually bluffing in this spot and i folded i would feel dumb as hell and probably life/Quit poker since he cant really rep Aces when he checks back the turn, so how can i ever let him bluff me in this spot?
At the same time when you see the SHOVE you "know" its the aces who went for a check back turn line... Really a tilty and frustrating spot basicly.
While playing the hand i think i realised a checkraise line on the river would get me owned by aces possibly, but at the same time i figured the extra 18$ i make everytime he has AK/AQ and the extra 12$ i make when i get him to bluff could compensate it in the longrun. Assuming im always donating 70$ when he shoves.
Check-Raise-for-value-Folding could possibly be a good line in this spot but its just so unstandard and seems so ******ed that its no way i as a lowstakes grinder can feel comfortable doing it.
